Today we're introducing TRIBE v2 (Trimodal Brain Encoder), a foundation model trained to predict how the human brain responds to almost any sight or sound.
Building on our Algonauts 2025 award-winning architecture, TRIBE v2 draws on 500+ hours of fMRI recordings from 700+ people to create a digital twin of neural activity and enable zero-shot predictions for new subjects, languages, and tasks.

People get strangely angry when I question the calorie model.
Iโve spent years studying nutrition and functional medicine, so this is coming from education, not ignorance.
Energy matters. Nobody is denying that.
But you do not eat calories.
You eat food.
You do not literally burn calories.
Your body processes food.
That is why 2000 calories of steak, eggs, and butter eaten once or twice a day does not act the same as 2000 calories of cereal, toast, muffins, and biscuits eaten six times a day.
Every time you eat, insulin goes up.
Six meals, six insulin spikes.
One or two meals, far fewer.
That matters.
Protein also takes more energy to digest.
It fills you up more.
You eat less without fighting yourself all day.
Human biology is regulated by hormones, appetite signals, digestion, and food quality, not just arithmetic.
So calorie counting โworksโ because you are eating less food.
That is it.
You are attaching a number to food and using that number to control how much food you eat.
The number did not do anything.
The food did.
Then people stop counting, eat more food again, and put the weight back on.
If calories were all that mattered, six sugary meals would do the same thing as one or two meals of eggs and steak.
They do not.
That is the part people do not want to admit.
What the Netflix documentary needs you to believe a cow is:
- A methane factory with a vendetta
- Personally melting a glacier right now
- Sinking water like a frat lad
- Bulldozing the Amazon between mouthfuls
- Mugging children for their grain
- A coronary wrapped in leather
- A mastermind that can't open a gate
- Smug, and unforgivably so
What a cow is actually up to out there:
- Chewing grass you physically cannot
- Drinking rain, handing most straight back
- Farming a hillside no tractor survives
- Muck-spreading the field for free
- Breathing out last August's carbon
- Six months of food off one animal
- Leaving the soil richer than it found it
- Unaware it's been cast as the villain
The cow has been framed.
The bloke who made the documentary flew there to do it.
World Models explained.
Another one of the @NotebookLM cinematic videos created by the report below.
The full notebook is dope. The podcast and slide deck is specifically awesome.
This explains why @ylecun got a billion bucks to start his company.

I don't care what kind of hardware you have, you should be running local models
It will save you a ton on money on OpenClaw and keep your data private
Even if you're on the cheapest Mac Mini you can be doing this
Here's a complete guide:
1. Download LMStudio
2. Go to your OpenClaw/Hermes and say what kind of hardware you have (computer and memory and storage)
3. Ask what's the best local model you can run on there (probably will be Gemma 4 or Qwen. if you have a big computer, it will be GLM)
4. Ask 'based on what you know about me, what workflows could this open model replace?'
5. Have OpenClaw walk you through downloading the model in LM Studio and setting up the API
6. Ask OpenClaw to start using the new API
Boom you're good to go.
You just saved money by using local models, have an AI model that is COMPLETELY private and secure on your own device, did something advanced that 99% of people have never done, and have entered the future.
If you are on smaller hardware you probably are not going to replace all your AI calls with this, but you could replace smaller workflows which will still save you good money
Own your intelligence.
The thesis is simple: the future belongs to individuals who build compounding AI systems, not to individuals who use corporate-owned centralized AI tools.
I'm trying to build these in open source so you can have them for free. That's what GBrain is.
Twitter politics will not change your life. AI literacy might. That's not hype. That's just where the leverage is right now. #AI#Anthropic#Claude#ChatGPT#Gemini#Grok

Stanford paid 35,000 people to quit Facebook and Instagram for 6 weeks
Depression dropped. Anxiety dropped. Happiness went up. Women under 25 on Instagram saw the biggest gains
That was 6 weeks. I'm going a full year.
INSTEAD OF WATCHING NETFLIX TONIGHT.
Spend 1 hour with this.
Claude AI FULL COURSE that teaches you how to BUILD and AUTOMATE anything.
The people who watch this tonight will wake up tomorrow with a skill that most people will not have in 2 years.
The people who skip it will still be watching Netflix next year wondering why nothing in their life has changed.
Your call.
@jaynitx It is a terrific talk. It should be titled, "how to speak in front of a class as a university professor" because that's really what he's talking about.
At 48, I stared in the mirror, but all I could see was a strangerโฆ
I had heart disease.
Back pain so bad, I couldnโt even SNEEZE without fear.
And the worst part? I was a doctor, and I couldnโt even fix myself.
