"The very same people who say that the government has no right to interfere with sexual activity between consenting adults believe that the government has every right to interfere with economic activity between consenting adults."
— Thomas Sowell
"Mamdani lost the legal argument, but nothing in the political project depended on winning it. He rendered a supranational claim as a domestic obligation.
Rubio warned this month that the ICC’s claws could reach Americans through their own politics. Mamdani proved him right within the week."

@visegrad24 53% were “foreign nationals”. This may be only part of the story.
Do the stats indicate how many of the remaining 47% were originally foreign nationals or offspring thereof? Do the stats show the religious affiliation of the criminals, the victims?
Friday: Muslim man stabs 2 in NYC while yelling "Allahu Akbar!"
Saturday: Muslim man drives car through Gay Pride parade in Germany.
Monday: Muslim man stabs 3 in Paris including a pregnant woman.
Islam is doing a really bad job so far this week at being the religion of peace.
@HillelNeuer Amnesty and many other Charities and NGOs are simply political wings of “progressive” politicians, by passing financing laws and using public $ to propagate “progressive” causes and parties. They should lose their statuses and tax advantages.
Tonight, people took to the streets in Isfahan، out of fear of public hanging of protesters.
They came out in the middle of the night because they knew what that crane in the square meant.
Dozens of Iranians are writing to me right now:
"Please ask the world to stop these executions."
Can you hear us, world?
@BBCWorld The Japanese retain a proud culture and are clear sighted enough to recognize Islam as incompatible with their existing culture. Immigration can be wonderful. When immigrants view their obscene religious laws and culture as paramount to all others, they are a problem.
@ripx4nutmeg So they know all about the ‘far right’ but nothing about the people and ideology behind the actual violence.
When the families come to sue those who allowed this known terrorist to be free, I hope these women are top of the list.
@washingtonpost Store prices may be lower, but they will be lower because they are subsidized by someone else’s $. The store overheads will be higher than those in the private sector, requiring yet more subsidization by someone else’s $. The real costs of the groceries will be way higher.
Texas GDP ≈ $2.9T (2025, BEA/current-dollar) with ~31.7M people. Canada ≈ $2.32T (2025, World Bank nominal) with ~41.5M people. Texas produces more with nearly 10 million fewer people and higher GDP per capita (~$91.5k vs ~$56k)
This isn’t geography or resources—it’s incentives and governance
Big government addiction: Canada’s general government spending hit ~44.7% of GDP by 2024 (Fraser Institute/IMF data), up sharply from ~38% a decade earlier and ranking higher among advanced economies. US total is lower (~37-38%). Provinces average ~43.6% of their economies in government spending. Texas has no state income tax, lighter regulation, and ranks as a top business climate
Bad governance & barriers: Interprovincial trade barriers (licensing, standards, admin rules) cost Canada an estimated 1-4% of GDP annually. Project approvals drag; capital faces higher tax and regulatory drag. Texas has open banking, leads U.S. exports for years, and hosts the most Fortune 500 HQs (57). Canada still wrestles with internal friction that a single US state largely avoids
Self-righteous government-paid media class: CBC/Radio-Canada receives ~$1.2–1.4B+ in annual parliamentary appropriations (plus extras), with broader federal media subsidies pushing total journalism/media support well over $1.7B in recent years. That creates a taxpayer-funded echo chamber less accountable to markets or results
No get-up-and-go: Lower GDP per capita, slower real productivity/growth relative to US peers in recent years, capital and talent flight incentives, and policy that prioritizes process and lectures over output. Texas compounds advantages through lower taxes, faster permitting, and energy/business friendliness.
Canada’s outcomes track the policy choices: larger state relative to the economy, higher barriers, and cultural/media incentives that reward virtue-signaling over competitive production
Fix the incentives—or keep watching Texas outproduce the whole country
That it's only 96% stemming from Islam suggests that all religions have good and bad. My friend Mahmoud plays soccer with me and he's a lovely fellow so all good.
It’s not the issue of a single insane person. It’s an entire culture which is the problem, doing things and teaching ideas which are fine w/n the culture while appearing insane in the context of western culture.
If you go to the Al Jazeera Facebook page you will see thousands of laugh reacts on their post about the Berlin pride parade terrorist attack. Hundreds of comments from Muslims celebrating
@visegrad24 There should be consequences for Judges who demonstrate serious failures of Judgement, mainly Judges who do so repeatedly but in especially egregious cases a single Judgement could suffice.
I’m so upset
We were just by cafe landwer this morning
I’m scared to be there now
Imagine being a Jew in Olivia Chow’s Toronto
We were all listening to the news of Jewish cafes being shot up
She’s with the leaders promoting events by Samidoun
A designated terror entity
I am in Berlin now and it is heartbreaking to watch driving a car into innocent people become a repeated act of Islamist terrorism.
The Islamist terror attack at CSD must be a wake-up call. Federal and state governments must stop funding Islamic centers that promote Islamism or maintain ties to Islamist movements. Not one euro of taxpayers’ money should support extremism, terrorism, or homophobia.
For people who grew up under Islamic regimes, this is not shocking. This is the horror we lived every day.
I visited Hamburg and in this video as you see, I am standing in front of the Blue Mosque in Hamburg, one of 50+ mosques built across Germany by the Iranian regime, funded by your tax system and protected by your religious freedom.
What did Europe get in return? A generation taught that the West is evil, and Hamas, Hezbollah and the IRGC are "resistance."
There’s a reason there’s more anger at the phrase “self-made” than at people who have inherited large fortunes. People are more irritated by those who broke themselves in half to earn their success because their existence casts a dim light on others.
