We can see how not only parent discipline, but family relationship can play a roll in how someone develops. Eddie might have grown up feeling alone, with no one close to relate to or talk to, a vulnerability factor. #lincpsych
Feeling like a lab rat must take a toll on their cognitive thinking, of how they indetfiy, and the wya they think about themselves, their worth. #lincpsych
The researchers of the triplets were looking at the sociological vs biological approach to developing. Would life, culture, family have more influence on who the brothers became or was it mainly genetic #lincpsych
brothers must feel mixed emotions of anger, confusion, emptiness, not knowing the information of their study. Life events/stressors the sociological approach can affect mental stability #lincpsych
@2020Marianah Yes! I feel this is a learning outcome, that shows adoptive parents should know the most they can about the biological parents in these terms.
@rekham_20 As children, we are sensitive to priming, learning and developing, especially first 5-6yrs I believes when kids were pulled apart, but as babies they mentally didn’t know, biologically maybe their bodies reacted. This could have affected how they were primed, & how they developed
the fact that they all had mental disorders that expressed themselves in their teenage years points to the idea that mental illness is largely biological; however, how do we know it wasn't a late effect from their separation at birth? #lincpsych
We have seen how the the environment in which a baby is in while the mother is pregnant, may have a link to sexual preference. I wonder if stresses and mental stability of the mother can also have a big influence, on the baby, & genes they express #lincpsych
Another adverse experience was the murder that happened in one of the brothers childhood. Even being asked about it in public probably adds on to the his current life stresses #lincpsych
@2020Emmae I COMPLETELY agree with you. It probably affected throughout their childhood being asked all these questions, but also it was proahbalt and adverse experience finding out about their separation, and never getting a full understanding of why/how about research
Even though the researchers had to use deception, the fact that once the brothers found out they were given zero information. Making the whole situation even more unethical #lincpsych
huge ethical concern that the triplets were being studied, especially without their consent, or the parents knowing. They did it secretly. Imagine the mental toll the kids had when they had to go through these tests, could cause anxiety, lack of confidence, etc. #lincpsych

If you noticed, yes they are all very very similar in their behavior us but one brother seems to be left handed, maybe this was due to how he grew up or learned how to use his hands, what do you guys think? #lincpsych
I wonder if we have biaslogical connection with people who are very genetically similar and that is why they didn’t need very formal introductions #lincpsych
We got our first sign of question of whether something is nature or nurture, because Eddy’s friend was said he had the same expressions same grin. Do we get similar expression based on biology or from exposure to our parents or people around us? I feel it’s always both #lincpsych
