🔴 Since the coup, the junta has killed 5 doctors & arrested dozens more health workers. Their actions have forced the health sector underground in the midst of a pandemic, in addition to mounting violence. The safety of health staff is a serious concern. https://t.co/UsJbQWrLlh
The brutal military junta forces in Myanmar have once again demonstrated their cruelty and disregard for human life. In Nyaungkla village, Budalin township, Sagaing Division, three innocent students were brutally killed by the genocidal military junta. The peace-loving people of Myanmar, seeking federal democracy, have endured these terrible situations for far too long, witnessing the targeting of students who merely expressed their desire for freedom and federal democracy.
We face a dire situation where the genocidal military junta has invaded classrooms, declaring Myanmar's students as military targets and using battlefield weapons against them. Since the attempted coup in February 2021, more than 4,000 civilians, including hundreds of students, have been killed, with over 24,000 individuals, including several thousand students, unjustly arrested. Furthermore, more than 70,000 houses, including schools, hospitals, and places of worship, have been destroyed, forcing nearly 2 million people into homelessness and leaving 18 million in dire need of lifesaving aid, with many millions of them being students. The consequences are devastating - in 2020, nearly one million high school students appeared for the high school exam, but in 2023, this number has plummeted to only about 100,000. This loss of education will impact not just this generation but generations to come, leading to a lost generation of Myanmar.
This atrocity must be stopped, and those responsible must face justice through international mechanisms. The International Community, especially the G20 countries, who hold 85% of the world economy, must recognize the urgency of this critical issue and consider providing assistance to the millions of Myanmar children whose education is at stake. The future of Myanmar's children and the country's path to freedom and democracy depend on the collective actions and support from the free and democratic world.

@VillameroAngela What he should be saying is junta chief Min Aung Hlaing & junta ex-generals like Thein Sein, Than Shwe to retire & not to meddle with country’s constitution & political affairs. Obviously he is another junta’s mouthpiece.
@VillameroAngela Funny you say ASSK belongs to the past & still talking about her! she is unjustly prisoned by illegitimate junta & she has no freedom to speak or do anything. If she is not relevant, why still talking about her?? Also it’s up to Myanmar ppl to decide what we want for country
Victory looms in Karenni! The final sit-tat outpost in ''Mese'' falls, surrendering to the coalition resistance. With 18 captured and regime rats fleeing, the fascist grip weakens. The tide is really changing.

According to local media reports, the entire battalion of Light Infantry Battalion 430 from the Myanmar military has defected to the resistance side. The defected battalion comprises approximately 100 soldiers and is led by Commander Lt. Col. Zar Ni Aung.
My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Myanmar today, especially those who lost their lives, families and homes from the Cyclone Mocha.
I call on the Thai caretaker government and the international community to expedite the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those affected by the Cyclone, with priorities given to those in dire need first. This is in line with my new foreign policy agenda as PM-Elect.
My policies on Myanmar will engage with all stakeholders, focusing on human security considerations, including humanitarian and economic aspects. These will be implemented with a view to achieving mutual peace and prosperity for Thailand, Myanmar, ASEAN and beyond.

#NUG welcomes today's adoption of the UNSC resolution on #Myanmar, urges the member states and all stakeholders to timely implement. We thank the UK for its leadership & those supported. Decisive action is needed to save lives and prevent further instability.
The response of #Myanmar’s military junta to the UN Security Council resolution has been to increase artillery attacks on civilian villages in Sagaing region. They want to test the Council’s resolve. ASEAN and UNSC should immediately impose an arms embargo.🇲🇲🇺🇳
Shameful of Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia & Laos to meet with the Min Aung Hlaing terror organisation, undermining @ASEAN's already pathetic efforts.
I hope in response Indonesia, Malaysia, Phillipines, Singapore & Brunei convene with @NUGMyanmar A.S.A.P.

Almost 2️⃣ years since #Myanmar’s murderous military seized power, the UN Security Council has finally passed a resolution calling for an end to violence. Time to end the climate of impunity that has enabled the Generals to turn the whole country into a killing zone.
We welcome the calls of the address on Myanmar following the Joint Leaders' Statement EU-ASEAN Memorial Summit on 14 Dec. However, they are not new and opportunities have been missed. 1/2
