Exploring consciousness, dreamwork. Enjoying each moment of this beautiful life! ❤️ Retired RN reflecting on a broken healthcare system & a path to a better one
@VigilantFox Hmm I thought most everyone already knew this.
Conscience doesn’t come from your brain. Your brain receives it -like an antenna- and interprets the signal into something we understand. The brain is just a processor, not the origin of consciousness.
@LeahRain77 I was given compazine for severe nausea when I was pregnant in 1985. I became confused and felt like I wasnt in my body. Luckily it resolved after a few hours, but it was very scary. Had no idea it could cause something as severe as this. I hope she finds relief. 🙏
@doc_rudman@Publix I grew up with Publix-Florida native.
Publix used to be high quality in all areas- food and service w decent prices. Now they r so overpriced I only go for the BOGO’s.
The biggest changes have been since Covid. All groceries are having challenges, but Publix has really fallen.
@Arkypatriot I pick the seat with the nicest or most interesting view.
I’m there to relax and enjoy myself, not be hypervigilant.
I don’t go places where I’d need to worry about my safety.
I'm obsessed with cognitive biases.
A "cognitive bias" is a built-in glitch in our brain that quietly sabotages good decisions.
These are the 11 craziest and most dangerous cognitive biases I've found: 👇
1. The Cobra Effect
@thegrandmajesty@j0ker937@grok Nice! I’m pretty good at pattern recognition myself so respect your ability. I’ll follow you -can always use another set of eyes.
@waitbutwhy Logistically RED is the better choice. However, one must factor in how it’s worded to cause readers to emotionally select BLUE. Emotion will prevail in an obscure logic problem.
So those who chose Red were right, but fail to understand the heart-and it shows in their comments.
@Queen_primis A man’s wife’s looks is often tied closely to his personal identity of success. So naturally he will put her beauty on display since it reflects his success. That’s why she is his wallpaper. Otherwise it’s the kids, pets, car, boat.
@OftTraveler@HumanityChad She says, “that has not worked”. Meaning she had tried to wind up her Dad’s snow globe before and it would not play music. Now it suddenly starts playing on its own while they are together celebrating the new year.
@BravoSierraM4@LASHYBILLS Facts - Moved back to FL several years ago and heard the local sheriff saying a local person saved the county tax money by shooting the perpetrator dead. Was surprised to hear it said so matter-of-factly. It was t a one time thing either.
@ksorbs We have a vegetable “stand” inside an air conditioned trailer with refrigerated meat, dairy products etc. for sale that sits at the back of a farm that butts up to our neighborhood. Unattended with a glass jar for cash sitting on the counter. You can also Venmo. 😊
@SBakerMD 64F, pickleball, occasional hike. I don’t get joint pain unless I over exercise. I could lose 20 pounds -so overweight, but carry it well. Mostly meat, veggies, but still eat potatoes, bread. Rarely eat sweets-don’t like them.
@omgsidewalks Say yes more. To everything. Every job, experience, friend or acquaintance carries value. Try new things. You constantly learn something. Keep a curious, fun, non-serious attitude about life in general. Experience is more valuable than you realize.
