It's here!!! Such an incredible moment... 😭 THANK YOU to everyone who helped make #CarbonQueen possible and who supported me along the way. This is for Millie and for all of you ❤️💖❤️
🧵/ This #NationalSTEMDay, we're celebrating those who have been historically excluded from the STEM fields and making immeasurable contributions toward inclusion and, of course, science. Join us in celebrating with some of our latest books championing women in #STEM.
My book, Breaking Through, is out today! Join me on a deeply personal journey as I share my triumphs, failures, and discoveries that have revolutionized the field of mRNA. @crownpublishing https://t.co/9h1vBldZgd

I received sad news that Mary Beth Ruskai passed away Sept. 27, 2023 at her home in Vermont. She was a titan of quantum information & mathematical physics, most known for her joint proof of strong subadditivity of quantum entropy. She was a strong promoter of women in science.
Anne L’Huillier is now the 5th woman to win a Nobel Prize in physics, sharing w/2 others for work to “generate attosecond pulses of light for the study of electron dynamics in matter.” (She’s also just the 2nd woman to win the Wolf Prize in Physics after CS Wu in 1978.) Congrats!
“Ten years ago I was kicked out and forced to retire.”
Our new medicine laureate Katalin Karikó (@kkariko) told us how much it means to be awarded the Nobel Prize after a scientific career that has been full of challenges.
Ten years ago, Karikó was still doing all her experiments by hand but today she has been awarded the medicine prize for her research on mRNA, which led to the development of COVID-19 vaccines.
Listen now:
No one more deserving: Congrats to @kkariko for persisting beyond those who doubted you and for helping to save millions of lives with the mRNA covid vaccines! Absolute legend is now a Nobel laureate 🏅 #womeninSTEM
@RunningGreg Thanks for asking, and good to know it's getting views at the SCOTUS :) I never got around to making a parts list but happy to do so when I have some time
