I'm glad the data team sees the importance Tzolis brings.
He's a Trossard-level signing.
Not just in it being a cheap market opportunity
But also in their styles of play. Both versatile to play a ton of positions, both two-footed, both with great ballstriking, both are INCREDIBLE passers, both thrive in lowblock/tight space scenarios, both are high IQ players who make good decisions.
The only difference is Tzolis is younger... and waaay faster. He'll probably be costlier too, which is understandable in this inflated market.
Arsenal are in talks with Club Brugge for Christos Tzolis as @HandofArsenal called. Belgium side want close to ยฃ35m.
As previously revealed on @talkSPORT, Morgan Rogers remains a leading target in addition.
Bradley Barcola and Junior Kroupi are the other viable options for a starting left-wing spot at the club.
Liverpool also tracking Barcola. PSG are prepared to consider a sale if they reinforce with another attacker even though contract extensions talks are also active.
Julian Alvarez also a dream target for Arsenal.
Jeremy Monga talks remain advanced.
Arsenal also working on outgoings. Saudi interest in Gabriel Martinelli remains.
Bournemouth one club who have enquired on Leandro Trossard, who is also drawing interest from Europe.๐ด
Yeah, Tzolis as Trossardโs replacement makes sense.
Heโs impressed me every time Iโve watched him, and heโs a very similar profile to Trossard.
For โฌ40m, and with his signing not preventing Morgan Rogers or other attacking additions, itโs a no-brainer.
๐จ BREAKING: Jamie Carragher blasts FIFA and Canada over Thomas Partey visa controversy
"This is an absolute disgrace from a tournament planning point of view. You spend years building towards a World Cup, qualifying, preparing squads, getting everything right โ and then something like this happens days before kickoff. Itโs just not acceptable at this level of football."
"If Thomas Partey is part of Ghanaโs plans and has been cleared to be in the squad, then how does it get to a point where a visa issue knocks him out of the opening game against Panama? Thatโs not football, thatโs administration failure."
"I donโt care who is responsible โ FIFA, Canada, immigration โ someone has to take accountability. You cannot tell fans to invest emotionally in a tournament and then allow situations where key players are missing because paperwork wasnโt sorted in time."
"At the very least, these issues should be resolved weeks before the first match. Itโs unfair on the player, itโs unfair on Ghana, and it damages the integrity of the competition. This is exactly the kind of chaos that should never happen at a World Cup."
