A general trend of the C21st appears to be the transformation of historical nations with relatively fixed populations and identities into new creole nations with disparate populations and hyphenated identities overlaid by a version of an increasingly globalised monoculture (in a process which echoes the way regional identities were subsumed into national identities in the C19th perhaps)

If you sincerely believed that this creolisation (can call it Yookayification) recombinatory process was inevitable or unavoidable you would generally want to de-emphasise the particularist claims the most consequential historical populations had to their nations even up to and including denialism that those historical populations represented a distinct group in a meaningful sense - less sustained pushback would make the transitory stage into a creole nation far more frictionless

Don’t say that in a ‘the NWO is playing 40D chess this what they are actually doing’-type way, more in an abstracted “it is interesting to think about how you would go about overseeing these changes if you thought hypermodernity meant they were genuinely unavoidable on a long enough timeline” thought experiment-type way (ie to the end of sustainably reducing group tensions over a 100 years timeline, not just within a shorter-term 5 years timeline and assuming continued immigration)

Groups like the English are especially susceptible to this process too because they are typically higher in agreeableness and lower in ethnocentrism than other populations
