I just happened to come across this letter again—
it’s from a children’s home in Houston,
thanking me for the small New Year’s gifts I donated (snacks and toys).
The items weren’t expensive, but the fact that they were gratefully received and carefully delivered to the children makes it all very meaningful.
Likewise, I don’t do these things to prove anything;
I just feel that when you’re able, lending a helping hand is a very natural thing to do.
I hope these small gifts can bring a little joy to the children.
