dean deserved to be allowed to see that he's good at more than just raising his baby brother and chasing monsters. he deserved to have a life so good that at times it didn't feel real. he deserved to learn that he's good at not only sacrificing himself but also living.

dean is always strong for everyone and won’t break until he is by himself. he broke after cas' death (when he was alone), mary's death (when he was alone). during the prayer (when he was alone). now imagine how he had to break on that bunker's floor (when he was ALL ALONE).

no but dean got to know how much cas loved him. how amazing he was. how special. the man who didn't believe he deserved to be loved got to hear his best friend tell him "I love you". dean got to hear that he was loving and loved. and cas never got to hear that.
