The elbows up crowd are just bunch of idiots. Every country in the world will trade their siblings and parents to share a 5000mile border with US because the advantages are unquantifiable.
China will swap places with canada in a heartbeat and leave all their developed country for us and start afresh in North America.

Their containers won’t need to sail 40 days on the ocean to get to America, it only needs 5 hours by truck. They now have access to pacific and Atlantic Ocean, won’t be that far from Europe and Africa and still get the mineral resources that canada possesses which China doesn’t have any.

I’ve done many case studies on NAFTA,CUSMA and what I discovered was a wipeout of middle America and every factory that closes and gets offshored looses not just the jobs but the associate jobs it’s prevents brings like coffee shops, restaurants, housing for the workers, etc.

Every country signing trade deal with canada is to get access to American consumer and carney knows this but he’s more interested in political power at the expense of Canadians. He has really done us dirty with his antics and the price will be heavy if they don’t course correct now. Now they’re now changing slogan to fortress America abi fortress North America to entice Washington. It’s all been a shitshow

The three CUSMA options on July 1:

1. Formal renewal for 16 years.

Canada and Mexico want this.

Trump said this morning that he is not looking to renew.

2. Formal withdrawal.

Jim and Iain don't see this happening.

3. No action, triggering annual rolling reviews for up to 10 years.

Which means CUSMA stays in place but with a screw that can be tightened every year.

This will most likely happen and it is not a win for Canada.

It is entering a permanent negotiation with a country that just said on camera it does not need anything Canada has.
