Police and Layla’s family are concerned for her safety and are urgently appealing for information from anyone who has seen her.
Layla, 16, was last seen in the Wollaton area around 2:15pm on Sunday 3rd May 2026.

She is approximately 5ft 2ins tall, of slim build, with long brown hair. She has a tattoo of a smiley face on the middle finger of her right hand and Roman numerals on her right forearm.

When last seen, Layla was wearing a green top and bottoms, a black puffa coat, black New Balance trainers, and was carrying a black Nike backpack with white writing.

Anyone who has seen Layla or has information on her whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 594 of Sunday 3rd May 2026.

UPDATE - MISSING VETERAN | Officers are issuing a new image of a missing Portland man as they continue their searches for him.
Gary, aged 59, was last seen in the area of Park Estate Road at around 1.30pm on Thursday 23 April 2026.
It is believed he left the area on his bike.
Gary is described as around five feet ten inches tall and of stocky build, with short grey hair and tattoos on his arms.
He was last seen wearing a black vest, black shorts, black Skechers boots, a cycling helmet and a chain around his neck.
Chief Inspector Barry Gosling, of Dorset Police, said: “Our enquiries to locate Gary remain ongoing and I would ask anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to please make contact with us.
“We would ask Portland residents to please check any CCTV or doorbell cameras for anyone matching Gary’s description in the area around the time he was last seen.
“I am also appealing directly to Gary, if you see this please make contact with us and let us know where you are as we just want to make sure you are OK.”
Anyone with information or knowledge as to Gary’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 999, quoting occurrence number 55260058364.
