For my young men, this is the honest truth.

In your formative stage, leave woman alone. I beg of you. There are so many women in this world that you will get tired.

Focus.

When you make money, they will come (both the good and the bad).

Don’t excessively chase any woman with your sweat and scarce resources . If you are lucky to find one that loves you sincerely, settle down quickly and build together so you can focus.

President Tinubu Directs EFCC To Vacate The Court Order Freezing Osun Government Account

It has come to my notice that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) obtained a court order on August 5, 2026, freezing the accounts of the Osun State Government. I must state that I feel deeply embarrassed not by the EFCC's exercise of its mandate backed by a court order, but by the timing of the agency's action. This is so because every action taken by an institution of State, especially at the Federal level, is always credited to me, as the President, even when I may not have had any prior knowledge of the action.

Since assuming office, I have consistently maintained that anti-corruption and law enforcement agencies must be allowed to discharge their statutory responsibilities independently, professionally, without fear or favour, or political interference. I have therefore deliberately refrained from directing or interfering in the operational activities of the EFCC or any other investigative or prosecutorial agency because I firmly believe that strong democratic institutions, operating within the confines of the law, are indispensable to democratic good governance and the rule of law.

As President, I am committed to allowing institutions of State to function and take any action they consider necessary in the interest of proper governance without the need for any prior approval. Indeed, that is why institutions are set up by law with clearly defined powers. While I am yet to be fully apprised of the facts which informed the action of EFCC in approaching the court to obtain the said order freezing the Osun State Government account, I am not in the slightest doubt that the timing of the action of EFCC is inauspicious, and therefore I feel compelled to intervene.

Osun State is only a few days away from its gubernatorial election. Therefore, nothing ought to be done to give an impression that the EFCC or indeed any other agency of the federal government is being used to interfere with the election.

Based on the foregoing premise, I am duty-bound to issue a directive on this issue in consonance with the overriding public interest in preserving public confidence and the integrity, credibility, and fairness of our democratic process.

Accordingly, I have directed the EFCC to immediately proceed to the court to vacate the order and discontinue whatever action it has instituted against the Osun State Government in this regard

I just read Prudent’s story and omo, it’s so inspiring.

She came to Lagos to work as a househelp, but when she got here, the person she was supposed to work for had travelled to the UK. She was left stranded in Lagos and started working as a waitress where they paid her just ₦15k.

One day, she took one of her clothes to a tailor to sew, but the tailor spoilt it. She got so angry she said she would learn tailoring herself.

During the learning process, one lady brought clothes to her madam’s shop to amend. She did the job and the woman paid her ₦1,000. As someone who was broke, she was shocked. ₦1k just like that?

She started creating different styles using safety pins and snaps and posting them on Facebook. Her brother even tried to rubbish her effort because she had no followers or views, but she didn’t listen.

Gradually, she started getting jobs from Facebook. She opened her own shop, and today she has her own fashion academy.

This is so inspiring.

I beg you in God’s name, have something you’re doing. It may not look like much today, but keep showing up. God will definitely reward your efforts.

Anytime I come back to Nigeria after staying away for months, in the first few days, I’ll see all the faults in our system. From the airport, to the road users, to the everyday people, to the trash along the road, to the poor drainage system, to the unkempt environment, to the epileptic power supply, to the generally accepted madness.

However, after a period, I’ll stop noticing those glaring abnormalities. Not because they have stopped existing, but because they are now normal to my eyes. That is why it may be difficult to explain our abnormal system to Nigerians living in Nigeria.

So you served her divorce letter.

You didn't wash the dirty plates and their uniforms either.
The evening was spent shouting "leave there ,stop it ,don't beat him ,take it away ,drop it there ".
You kept trying your wife's number not to beg her but to tell her to come and take her children but her number wasn't reachable

The following day was worse because they got to school by 10 and you were questioned at work.

You decided to stylishly drop the children with your sister, you saw that there was a home lesson teacher who comes to do their home work. You saw a house help who comes every evening to clean up their house, meanwhile your sister only has three children, she told you her husband employed them.

You start to wonder how your wife does all these and yet she goes to work at 8am too.

On Wednesday,the children didn't go to school at all because you do not know the excuse to tell again about them not doing their assignments because everything has piled up and you dont even know where to start

You've been asking everyone to help you beg your wife but she said even if she'll come back you should atleast take care of the kids for one month.

Now you're saying she doesn't love you that you were just pranking her.

Continue pranking her for a whole month and she'll consider coming back or not.

I also use chatGPT too as a diary. The day I get married (which will be this year), that is the end of my usage of social media as myself and my partner will always be together and she will be my diary. My days on X will soon come to an end.

In 2002, my father was processing my sister’s visa.

One of the requirements was a Police Character Certificate.

He visited a state police headquarters to ask about the process.

A police officer told him it could only be processed in Lagos. He asked my sister to place her fingerprints on a sheet of paper and said he would transfer them onto the official certificate.

He said the fee was N262,000.

My father paid.

Two weeks later, my father returned to collect the document. What he received was a locally stamped paper with what looked like a criminal registry stamp. There was no signature from the Inspector General of Police or anything that suggested it was an official certificate.

Not knowing any better, my father submitted it with my sister’s visa application alongside other documents.

Her visa was refused.

One of the reasons given was that the police certificate could not be verified.

My father went back to the State Police Headquarters to ask what was wrong with the document.

The moment the same officer saw my father, he informed his other colleagues and their demeanor changed.

He then told my father to wait while he “checked something”.

Minutes later, another officer returned and loudly accused my father of forging a fake police report, calling on other officers to arrest him.

Imagine that.

The same institution that collected his money was now trying to make him the suspect.

Fortunately, my father immediately called a former Assistant Inspector General of Police he knew.

The atmosphere changed.

Afterward, my father received threats that if he ever returned to that station, he would be arrested.

That experience stayed with me.

It is one of many reasons I struggle whenever I hear the slogan, “Police is your friend”.

This was my family’s experience, and it left a lasting impression on us.
