Latest figures suggest that people at home are listening to more radio than they are music apps.
Both @global and @bbc5live have revealed an increase in listening by at least 15% since last week. In contrast, @Spotify has experienced an 8% decrease in streaming.
One reason as to why radio has enjoyed a surge is that people at home look to the likes of BBC Radio for information, news and "companionship", whilst opportunities to stream music, such as in offices, at the gym or with friends, have decreased.
