🔴Excited to share my TED AI talk! How we advance AI into an era of superintelligence, with true *practical* impact in our world.
❓I ask: For all the groundbreaking milestones we’ve reached, all the intelligence benchmarks we’ve shattered, for the $53B invested in generative AI companies 2023-2024 combined, why *hasn’t* AI transformed our day to day lives in more meaningful ways?
I dream about a world where AI is capable of taking on human workloads, even superhuman workloads, that produce economically valuable work. I’d like to see AI not just as an intelligent companion, but instead, autonomous agents that do our work better and faster, and advance the frontier of any field.
At @sequoia we've partnered with founders to build the future I dream of:
✅ A world of fully autonomous coding agents at the level of a 10x engineer, as Github CEO @ashtom envisions. (We're building this @reflection_ai!)
✅ AI pentesters from @Xbow built by OG Github Copilot creator @oegerikus
✅ A revolution in AI drug design and development from @Xaira_Thera
✅ A world with embodied intelligence in our physical world, with breakthroughs led by @SkildAI
Gradually... then suddenly. What a time to be alive! This is the arrival of *accessible supply of superhuman capability*, and it will redefine the frontier of human progress.
We’re at the dawn of a new era… So to all the builders out there, this is *your* time to build this era of superintelligence with real *practical* impact.
And ask yourself: what is the scale of your ambition? I can’t wait to build this future with you! ✨
Deeply thankful to everyone who helped make this milestone possible, and to @InfiniteXYZ and @RibbitCapital for their partnership.
Excited for what comes next.
The task: rapidly design highly performant chips.
The vision: serve intelligence at a price and capability impossible to match.
Our co-founder and CEO @annadgoldie sat down with @FounderCoHo to break down the recursive self-improvement loop at the heart of Ricursive's work. The task and vision are ambitious, but so are we.

@karpathy and I are back! At @sequoia AI Ascent 2026. And a lot has changed. Last year, he coined “vibe coding”. This year, he’s never felt more behind as a programmer.
The big shift: vibe coding raised the floor. Agentic engineering raises the ceiling.
We talk about what it means to build seriously in the agent era. Not just moving faster. Building new things, with new tools, while preserving the parts that still require human taste, judgment, and understanding.
Building the future of silicon requires the best talent in the world.
That's why we’re excited to welcome Mark Lee to the team. Mark is a titan in the chip industry: he led physical design for the iPhone and iPad, helped technically scope Apple's revolutionary M1 chip, and directed RTL-to-GDS efforts for Tenstorrent's leading Ascalon processor.
Mark has spent decades pushing the limits of what silicon can do. We’re thrilled to have his expertise as we together reinvent chip design.
