The DRM Authority's #Abaco Hurricane Shelter is 75% complete and on track for a December 2024 finish! Designed to withstand 200mph winds, this is just the beginning. We are working to replicate this shelter on 5 islands... for a safer, more prepared Bahamas. 💪🏽🇧🇸 #bahamasstrong

Update 1am July 28: The chances of storm formation for the disturbance moving toward the Antilles has increased to 40% . The DRM Authority encourages Bahamian residents to get their homes and businesses ready in case of storm formation.

The DRM Authority has just completed this year’s Restore Island Cays Simulation (RICS) training exercise with The US Department of Defense’s Northern Command (USNorthCom).
