Cardano will be a top EVM chain next month
Milkomeda (Cardano’s EVM layer) is launching a feature allowing EVERY Cardano user to use EVM contracts directly from ANY Cardano wallet
All in pure ADA
This will instantly make Cardano one of the largest EVM chains by user count
@zygomeb Cardano as a protocol. I am just saying Eth’s staking model is what Cardano can already achieve with its current design. How we are going there is a different topic.
@monad_alexander Today, 2️⃣ and 3️⃣ are already possible without requiring changes in ledger spec. I don't see 1️⃣ as a necessary condition for 2️⃣ and 3️⃣ to happen. Therefore, I don't think 2️⃣ and 3️⃣ are strong arguments in the discussion of 1️⃣.

More commentary on minPoolCost and pledge:
The pledge benefit was supposed to be Cardano's primary defense against Sybil attacks (before introduction of minPoolCost). But there is a big problem regarding pledge: it doesn't work (at least where we want it to) 1/n
@adamKDean In addition, with such a big drop in price, many validators will become unprofitable, and thus stop participating the network validation, resulting in a more centralized network.
Thanks for the shout out @KoreaPool_KOR ! For those who don't know, KOR has been actively improving and contributing to PyCardano in the past few days by adding tests and type checks. Thank you for the amazing works!
PyCardano already supports Python 3.11 which only has been released few hours ago.
Jerry @247_pool built an amazing product with high quality.
PyCardano will be a foundational component of the future Cardano Python development ecosystem.

@wabdoteth Collateral is not enforced in the contract level, but in the transaction level. Contracts are agnostic to collateral. It only requires dApps to construct (off-chain computation) Txs that have collateral attached.
@Quantumplation@adamKDean@VEGAS_ADA_Pool Sure, here is an example of geth deciding the amount of gas refund based on the height of block before and after EIP1559 (London hard fork): https://t.co/pK8aTuafFn
@VitalikButerin Make governance token non-transferable but delegable, so people can still withdraw their delegated power if they are not happy with decision makers.
