Been inactive for a lil bit on this account but I participated in the @UnrealEngine#MegaJam, I did the sound design + music as well as the implementation, check it out and let me know what you think! https://t.co/KRppFcB7Ui
Got some @UnrealEngine swag today from the Blueprint Ninja challenge they did at the end of last year! I guess I need to learn how to sew patches now 😅
@sarahsherIock Oh hell yeah, I feel like there’s a surprising amount of audio people who skate! I actually just made a skate audio demo haha, it’s on my page if you wanna check it out 😎😂
Here’s what I’ve been working recently, let me know what you think! I’ve been skating for 10 years as of this year so it’s been pretty cool to finally take on a whole skate-related project! #gameaudio#sounddesign https://t.co/QLCmpHd9eA
New @AftertouchAudio sound design challenge = complete(ish)! Didn't really have time to make the second set of shots and I wanted to get this out before the next challenge so here it is😎 #gameaudio#sounddesign
@JoshuaDav Definitely gives a sword unsheathing vibe to the animation, really cool! Also just curious, are the sounds tied to the animations or are they random?
So that's what I think of as some of the main things to consider when blending sounds together. More advanced signal processing such as sidechaining, effect sends/returns, or resampling can be very useful when blending sounds as well.
#sounddesign#gameaudio let me know!!!
Someone on Discord asked me about some #sounddesign tips to blend sounds together, to make them feel like one sound. Here's what I came up with (and could fit without Nitro lol), anything else that anyone can think of? #gameaudio 1/x
"...then it can be difficult and tedious to remove that reverb, which is sometimes needed to make sounds blend together. The best thing to remove extra reverb is a gate, but even that can be tricky to use." 9/x
