QUICKMART OTC (Downtown Nairobi) is less than 600 metres from Kamukunji Police Station. In fact, it's a 5-minute walking distance. It was looted yesterday evening into the night.
But surprisingly, no policeman was in sight. No thief was shot at or nothing. What they know best is shooting at unarmed protestors, hawkers and k!lling inside police cells.
Thank You Standard Digital for saying it as it is: Criminals masquerading as peaceful protestors. Most of these acts were strategic.
The Wan Tam regime is really desperate to paint GenZs and Millenials and vay0lent, and it is not working. Unlike before, when the opposition led the protests which yielded nothing save for Raila's interests; the youth of Kenya have pumped in a fresh wake up call to everyone since last year- that it is possible to protest peacefully and send the entire government into disorganization- armed with a phone, a bottle of water, a song and a Kenyan flag.
Kenyans are equally more wiser. I have watched an live coverage on TV where OTC people are blaming it all on the government. Strategically pulling off the police, and infiltrating the protests with g0ons. GenZs were not even protesting in downtown Nairobi. They were right within the uptown CBD.
A day to the protests, the same government ran a hashtag saying #IStandWithPolice. Kasongo himself congratulated the police for a good work done. Immediately after- he was slapped with joint letter by 13 powerful foreign missions (embassies) which he received in shock. The world was watching Kenya.
It's a government against its own people. If they think that such acts will make Kenyans cry for police's protection, or brand GenZs as vay0lent, ole wao. The government and their policemen are tainted beyond salvaging.

Today was slated to be a memorial day for 60+ Kenyans who died in last year's June 25th Anti-Finance Bill protests,but turned into a full blown protest for us the Kenyan people to voice our displeasure against this regime.
