In fact, this era was such a disaster from an immigration point of view that we had to change the law in 1924 to shut it down and start deporting as many of these people as possible

That America survived it all was only because immigration was shut off for two generations afterward a huge number of these people were either deported or encouraged through loss of economic opportunity to self migrate, and the FBI cracked down on socialism and anarchism in a huge way that would not be permitted now.

Stephen Craig Paddock killed 60 people in Vegas in 2017 and the police / FBI never came up with a motive. Frankly, I think they (FBI/police) are hiding something from us about Paddock. It was nearly impossible for us to get information about Paddock.
