We spent years not setting because ‘it helps good kids, hinders weaker ones’ but I think that is just apocryphal. Like Adam said, the easiest research would be to find P8>1 schools that don’t set!

@adamboxer1 You don’t need to take them off. In West London figs crop very consistently. I get loads off my tree and by the end of July I reckon I could find a nice juicy fig approximately every 300m if I went for a walk!

@sleeplessorphan @kateowbridge We’re about 9th in the world for outcomes. Top 5 in Europe. I don’t know if they have longer holidays but they mostly don’t have better results.

@adamboxer1 shielding is irrelevant because the increase in distance from the nucleus dwarfs any effect it may have, so I ignore shielding for first ionisation. Never seen a question that requires shielding (but often ‘allowed’). I don’t tend to focus much ‘allow’ things.
