That new Ireland is unraveling fast. Amounts to cheap talk in an echo chamber. The Parades Commission made a lawful determination. It was tested in the courts and all challenges thrown out. Respect the law even if you can’t respect Orange traditions and culture.

The Orange Order has concluded another meeting with Secretary of State Chris Bryant at Hillsborough Castle.

Portadown District Master Nigel Dawson spoke to the press after the meeting, and said their 'continuing position' is that the law must be applied in the determination of the Drumcree parade dispute.

Bigots must win the argument a triumphalist parade is socially accepted culturally first, then whether they can impose it upon others.

Nationalists communities have too much to lose

@irish_news The problem is giving legitimacy to the procession and those bigots that argue for it equal footing when negotiating.

I believe the orange order has first to argue whether it's acceptable culturally, then whether they have the right to inflict it on others.
