@PassionateBacon@Jordan456257099 Don't get me wrong, it changed fps games forever, but it hasn't exactly aged very well. 2 and 3 were both improvements on their predecessors
@crashman2552@MintBlitz I think it's a much better solution than just some sort of invisible zone that ticks down your health. I don't know about the glitchy hud or decreasing health that you mentioned, I just think that fighting your way through a zone to get to safety fits halo better.
@jtimsuggs this is exactly why i dislike the movie so much. nonsensical dogfighting that breaks its own scifi rules, directly into a nonsense shot of the most non-zen force user ever supposedly meditating
@JakeSucky you'll never get those hours back man. infinite is no better than a 5/10 gaming experience and is certainly near the bottom of the barrel as far as halo games go
@Lucifer089E@_CrocodileIce@bnoblitt@ske7ch@Halo the correct answer for transitioning to UE is to BASE it off of CE fundamentals, but as noted, do it all in a new setting a la the prequel: so they're not beholden to everyone's expectations. As for bringing halo to ps, the answer is, combined w/ focusing on prequel, to port mcc
@Lucifer089E@_CrocodileIce@bnoblitt@ske7ch@Halo the question is, "what's the right idea for transitioning Halo from slipspace/whatever it's called into UE?" the answer that they came up with is simply the wrong answer, remaking CE. The idea of getting back to fundamentals is correct, but you don't need to touch CE to do so.
@_CrocodileIce@Lucifer089E@bnoblitt@ske7ch@Halo I'm not sure what that means. I don't want full developmental stop-- I don't want them getting endless criticism for re-creating Campaign Evolved. I say, take your work, and refocus on fleshing out the prequel mission idea. If you want to bring Halo to Playstation just port MCC.
@_CrocodileIce@Lucifer089E@bnoblitt@ske7ch@Halo yes, it's insane to tell the studio that remaking CE is a bad idea, and to salvage the project by transferring the work to the prequel idea that's been floated.
