@_youngcapalot Yes, Oda is going to create a coherent fight choreography with a guy wielding three katanas versus a guy using a giant Messer without using any Haki-related nonsense 🥲
@ryegnocchi@mikeydoesguitar 1. The important thing to differentiate comics for prose is not the paragraphs, but the continuous writing
2. You're separating the text and images to say that comics are literature because they contain text; various other art forms contain text and are separated from literature.
@ryegnocchi@mikeydoesguitar Comics don't have prose; prose is a form of writing where the text is written in continuous lines, that is, in a running manner and organized into paragraphs. Comics divide their dialogues and narration into speech bubbles and text boxes.
@ryegnocchi@mikeydoesguitar That's simplistic. Music, film, and video games also contain text, and we differentiate them from literature. The images in comics and how they are used are what distinguish them from prose; we don't just read text from them, we read images.
