Over the last few weeks, you might have heard his name. That is because he was recently appointed Commissioner of State’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Since taking charge, the FDA has been on an absolute warpath, raiding illegal, fake, synthetic, and adulterated products. From synthetic milk networks and adulterated paneer to illegal gutkha and unhygienic eateries, nothing has escaped his radar.

Mundhe has made it clear that even the most famous names will not get a free pass. His department shocked Mumbai by suspending the food licenses of iconic establishments, such as the 73-year-old Marine Drive ice cream parlor K. Rustom & Co., alongside famous eateries like Shalimar Hospitality, Noor Mohammadi Hotel, and Rahmaniya Restaurant, after surprise inspections uncovered severe hygiene violations, including live pests and expired ingredients.

Such is the fear of his crackdowns that, just two days ago, dairy farmers were caught on video spilling hundreds of liters of synthetic milk after rumors of an impending FDA raid spread.

This is his 25th transfer in a 21-year career, a testament to his refusal to bend to political pressure. It makes you wonder: if just one IAS officer can bring about so much change, where would our country be if every bureaucrat were as uncompromising and proactive as him?

Many are asking me to comment on the E-20 debate going on. So let me make my comments and also predict that E-20 fuel is here to stay and will become mainstream in the long term.

But, as usual, I am of the opinion the GoI should stop imposing and mandating this forcefully. The adoption must be left to states and consumers for now. Those who want and have the right vehicles, let them use it.

At least incentivize the use for now by giving great discounts on the fuel. If even that's not done, then of course the public will feel like they are being given a bad deal by GoI.

The perception must also be better managed by GoI using proper tests, research, and scientific reports done by third parties which are widely publicized as E-20 is given more time for the public to adopt.

The anti-E20 propaganda by certain groups for strategic and political reasons should be better managed dispelling some of the myths they have managed to spread using issues faced by the public.

And the issues from E-20 fuel, like lower mileage and corrosion on vehicles, especially the older ones, are real. Simply denying these is not going to help anything and only create more anti-Govt sentiment.

At the same time, E-20 saves lakhs of crores in a year in Forex, provides farmer support in lakhs of crores, reduces CO2 emissions, and strategically helps India reduce import dependence and cushion oil price volatility.

Also, Ethanol is a good anti-knock agent. It improves combustion efficiency and knock resistance. Again only if the engines are optimized for the fuel. Which may become the case all over India in another decade. So that's why I believe E-20 is here to stay in the long term.

So until then, imo, the GoI mandating E20 and forcing it can cause backlash, give ammo to adversarial narrative, and create a hasty withdrawal of all E20 one day costing India a lot. And helping adversaries get their way in keeping India reliant on higher imports.

Having said all the above, I believe the GoI thinks giving choice will delay the scale up of blending infra and wide scale adoption. Hence the GoI believes it can take the backlash for now but still force the change.

I don't know, given the history of poor perception management by GoI, this may only backfire and help India's adversaries use it to fuel dissent and disillusionment against the govt.

प्रधान, सरकारी नाकामी और CBSE स्कूलों की नई SMC

धर्मेंद्र प्रधान @dpradhanbjp जाते-जाते एक और कांड कर के जा रहा है। वैसे प्राइवेट स्कूल, जिसमें सरकार एक पैसा नहीं देती, उनमें SMC (स्कूल मैनेजमेंट कमिटी) में 75% अभिवावकों का होना अनिवार्य कर दिया गया है। यानी, स्कूल के मालिक अब यह तय नहीं करेंगे कि स्कूल कैसे चले।

ऊपर से आपको लगेगा कि यह तो अच्छी बात है, स्कूल मनमानी फीस लेते हैं, अब नकेल बँधेगी। हालाँकि ऐसा कुछ नहीं है। फीस नियंत्रित करना है तो ब्रैकेट बना दो, फ्रेमवर्क बना दो कि कितनी फैसिलिटी पर कितनी फीस मान्य है।

एसी और स्वीमिंग वाले स्कूल की फीस आपके बगल के आठ कमरों वाले स्कूल के फीस के बराबर नहीं होगी। हाँ, यूनिफॉर्म और किताब के नाम पर बाध्यता बंद होनी चाहिए। और ये कार्य वहाँ करो जहाँ सरकार पैसे देती है।

खैर, अब ये जो SMC है, उसमें 75% अभिभावक होंगे, तो स्कूल का पैसा कहाँ खर्च होगा, वही तय करेंगे। कौन से शिक्षक पढ़ाएँगे, वही तय करेंगे। किस शिक्षक की कितनी सैलरी होगी, वही तय करेंगे।

इस कमिटी में वस्तुतः स्कूल के मालिक के अलावा सब हैं। 8% स्थानीय प्रशासन के लोग, 8% शिक्षक, 8% में आंगनवाड़ी, आशा बहू एवम् अन्य स्थानीय लोग होंगे। सरकारी बना नहीं सकते, वहाँ से पैसा आता नहीं, तो प्राइवेट का दोहन करो।

और तो और, ये कमिटी ही यह तय करेगी कि स्कूल अपनी बाउंड्री बनाने से ले कर लैब बनवाने, स्मार्ट क्लास का काम या अन्य बड़े कार्य किस ठेकेदार को दे। यानी, अब अभिभावक यह बताएँगे कि स्कूल जिस ठेकेदार से कम में काम करा रहा है उसकी जगह वो अभिभावकों के बीच के किसी व्यक्ति को ठेका दें, वह भी PWD रेट पर!

सरकार इस पर यही कहेगी कि ‘ये स्कूल और स्कूल के ट्रस्टी की मनमानी रोकने के लिए है’। फिर तो सरकार को हर दुकान, हर कम्पनी में ‘उपभोक्ता की कमिटी’ बना देनी चाहिए कि पारले का बिस्कुट कितने में बिकेगा, मारुति की कार कितने में आनी चाहिए। प्राइवेट का मतलब फिर क्या होता है?

सरकार नकारी है, घटिया शिक्षा देती है इसलिए उसका लोड प्राइवेट स्कूल उठाते हैं। वो मनमानी न करें, इसलिए आप एक रेगुलेशन ले कर आते हैं। प्राइवेट स्कूल को @cbseindia29 तब रिकग्नाइज करती है जब उसके पास कुछ मूलभूत सुविधाएँ हों: लैब है, स्मार्ट क्लास है, सीसीटीवी है, ग्राउंड है, शिक्षकों की डिग्री क्या है, कितने बच्चों पर कितने शिक्षक हैं आदि।

क्या यह फ्रेमवर्क काफी नहीं है? या अब माता-पिता ही तय करेंगे कि उनके बच्चे को जिस शिक्षक ने डाँटा, अब उसे निकाला जाए? क्या माता-पिता बताएँगे कि स्मार्टबोर्ड का टेंडर फलाने की जगह ढिमका को दिया जाए क्योंकि वो इनके मित्र हैं? जब सरकार वित्तीय सहायता नहीं देती, तो वह उसके आर्थिक विषयों में इतना हस्तक्षेप क्यों करना चाहती?

तुमने गाँव के स्कूलों में पंचायत समिति का बवासीर डाल रखा है जो ग्रामीण राजनीति के कारण वहाँ भी नकारापन फैलाती दिखती है। सरकारी शिक्षक जनगणना से ले कर चुनाव ड्यूटी और सामूहिक विवाह तक में ड्यूटी दे रहे होते हैं। दाल-चावल का हिसाब रखना होता है, वह अलग।

RTE के माध्यम से, अपनी नाकामियों को छुपाने के लिए आपने प्राइवेट में भी गरीब बच्चों के लिए व्यवस्था की। सरकारी में क्यों नहीं डालते? क्योंकि आप जानते हो वहाँ रद्दी शिक्षा मिलती है। प्राइवेट आपका लोड कम करता है, और आप वहाँ 75% माता-पिता के हाथों में नियंत्रण देना चाहते हैं।

अब ये जो गुलाबी बात कही जा रही है, उसका फॉलआउट ये नहीं जानते। स्कूल बंद होने लगे, तो क्या सरकार स्कूल खोलेगी? जिस माता-पिता को विद्यालय मनमानी वाला लगता है, उनके पास विकल्प है कि वो दूसरे विद्यालय में चले जाएँ। आपको एसी चाहिए बच्चों के लिए तो आपको पैसे भी देने पड़ेंगे।

पुनः कहूँगा कि यूनिफॉर्म-पुस्तक का केवल डिजाइन, नाम और सिलेबस स्कूल को देना चाहिए। बच्चों को स्वतंत्रता हो कि वो कहाँ से लें। फीस का ब्रेकेट तय करे सरकार स्कूल की सुविधाओं के आधार पर। इससे इतर यदि निजी स्वामित्व के विद्यालयों में माता-पिता को 75% नियंत्रण दिया गया तो समाजवाद तो आ जाएगा, पर समाजवादी पैरेंट्स के बच्चों को पढ़ाने के लिए विद्यालय नहीं बचेंगे।

Got married to the only girl child of a business family. She enjoyed drinking, smoking, partying (not judging) but didn't share it with this man & marriage happened within 1.5 months of match

She told him the very first day of their honeymoon that she doesn't want to live with him & was in love with someone her parents didn't allow her to marry. He said let's enjoy this place as friends. Tried to comfort her as much as possible but she didn't care. Called him old fashioned, rude, boring just because he did not drink.

She left him after 18 days. Initially her parents condemned her for her actions but then supported her & demanded huge alimony from the man

He didn't want to pay anything but still agreed. They said give money first and then we will file for divorce. He refused.

This man got his family out of the FIR by fair investigation ordered by senior cops but FIR against him stands

Quashing was moved in HC 6 years ago but it is gathering dust

It has been 8 years since he is suffering for no mistake. Girl's family is still adamant.

An innocent life jeopardized just because a strong independent woman could not rebel against her own family but felt it was okay to ruin life of a man who did nothing wrong to her !!!

Despite knowing that the GCs are increasingly disillusioned with them, the BJP still chose to increase reservation in Odisha.

From a purely strategic standpoint, there was no immediate compulsion, there are no elections for over three years. This is simply doubling down on their too much social justice priorities. They seem in no mood to take a step back and recalculate their current strategy.

Telecom companies offer Recharge Plans with ‘𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐬’ like 1.5GB, 2GB or 3GB per day, resetting every 24 hours. Any Unused Data EXPIRES at midnight, despite being fully paid for.

UNUSED DATA should carry forward into the next cycle, so consumers can use what they have already paid for.

My demands are clear:

𝟏. 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲-𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝/ 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐬
All telecom operators should provide Rollover of Unused Data. What remains unused at the end of the day, should be added to the next day’s Daily Data Limit, not erased the moment validity ends.

𝟐. 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐝𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐔𝐧𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡’𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐀𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐬
If a consumer consistently under-utilises their data over multiple cycles, there should be a mechanism for Adjustment or Discount of that value, from the following month’s Recharge Amount. Consumers should not repeatedly pay for capacity they do not use.

Unused data should be treated as the consumer’s digital property. Users should be allowed to transfer their unused data to others, from their Daily Data Limit, just as transfer money to others.

As we build a Digital India, access cannot depend on data that disappears.

If you’ve paid for it, it should carry forward and remain yours to use.

कोचिंग फ्री ही नहीं सरकार पैसा भी देगी, फिर फॉर्म का दाम सस्ता, फिर आरक्षण, फिर कॉलेज की फीस माफ, हॉस्टल की फीस माफ… हमें इससे भी समस्या नहीं।

हमारी माँग केवल यह है कि निर्धन सवर्ण छात्रों को आरक्षण के अलावा यह सारी आर्थिक सुविधा दी जाए।

Abuse me all you want, but Yogi should not pay for the Centre’s blunders. Don’t scapegoat the one CM who has actually tried to impose order on a chronically misgoverned state.

Yogi is among the rare CMs running a large, complex state toward development, with no appeasement, no reckless freebie culture, and zero tolerance toward extremism and organised crime. While other states proudly market cash doles and monthly handouts as “development models,” even the so-called DMK development model runs Ladli Behna–type cash schemes, yet UP has resisted that temptation so far. What the future holds, I don’t know. Pressure politics exists, especially if Akhilesh starts dangling promises, but till now, UP has held the line.

Yes, democracy forces you to perform a few symbolic rituals you may personally dislike. That’s the price of electoral politics. But symbolism is not governance, and optics are not law and order.

If Yogi goes and Akhilesh returns, UP regresses straight back ten years: an era where the state bent before Azam Khan, Mukhtar Ansari, and Atiq Ahmed were power centres, organised crime thrived, police stations were ornamental, and appeasement was state policy. Don't let it happen.

जी नहीं , एक पूरा ट्रैप इन्होने खड़ा किया हुआ है-

1. 1 घंटा इंस्पेक्शन करके ये आपको कहेंगे कि सर आपकी गाडी की ऑक्शन होगी आप 1000 रूपये का प्लान ले लो, घंटा बर्बाद करने के बाद संभवतः आप ले ही लोगे.

2. उसके बाद आपको अगले दिन कुछ भी अंट शंट प्राइस दिया जायेगा और आपके मेन्टल harassment का सिलसिला शुरू हो जायेगा.

3. फिर कुछ दिन बाद आपको कॉल आएगा कि आपने जो 1000 का प्लान लिया था उसमे लोकल buyers थे तो आप पैन इंडिया का प्लान ले लो, आपको गाडी साफ़ बेचनी है तो संभवतः आप ले लोगे, फिर से 1500-2000 गए.

4. अभी भी आपकी गाडी नहीं बिकेगी, अगले दिन ये कहेंगे की हम try कर रहे है, try करते करते आपकी गाडी के प्राइस ये जमीन पर ले आएंगे.

5. जो same मॉडल, घटिया कंडीशन की कार के अपने पोर्टल पर 7 लाख की बेचते है, उसके लिए ये आपके लिए 2-2.5 लाख लगाते है. मतलब कार के नाम पर सरदर्द और खामखा के कॉल पे कॉल जबकि होना कुछ नहीं.

इसीलिए अपने लोकल डीलर वाला गेम ही सबसे बेहतर है, ये पोर्टल वाले मोनोपोली के नाम पर सिर्फ लोगो को लूटने का काम करते है.

The Economic Survey 2025–26 has finally said the obvious about freebies, what many of us have been saying for years. Salient points:

1. The unchecked rise of freebies is bleeding public finances dry.

2. Freebies are widening fiscal deficits and leaving little room for real investment in infra, education, or human capital.

3. While freebies may offer immediate income relief and temporarily boost consumption, they have failed to create lasting gains in nutrition, education, or poverty reduction.

4. The Survey also flags a less discussed consequence, freebies have reduced female labour force participation, quietly pulling women out of the workforce rather than empowering them.

5. The Survey warns that without reform, freebies risk turning into permanent fiscal liabilities instead of temporary safety nets.

6. The Survey calls for a shift towards conditional, outcome-linked, and time-bound welfare. It cites global examples such as Brazil’s Bolsa Família, along with similar models from Mexico and the Philippines. It warns that welfare without outcomes is not compassion, but bad economics.

However, I doubt anyone will take this seriously. The laadlis and laadlas are only going to get more laads with every subsequent elections.

A 4-lane flyover in Mira-Bhayandar suddenly narrows into just 2 lanes.

MMRDA says this is due to space constraints and future planning.

If space was the issue, a long merging ramp could have been provided instead of an abrupt 4-to-2 lane reduction. But in India, creating “modern engineering marvels” clearly takes priority over commuter safety.

Hats off! And if anyone meets with an accident here, please don’t complain, just remember, it was all for space constraints and future planning.
