My paper is out!
It describes SIGNAL, a hit selection analysis platform that prioritizes candidates from omics data by using 2 cutoffs and integrating pathway and network databases in such a way that the trade-offs of each are offset by the other.

Hey @popcorners wtf is this chip I just found in a just opened bag? Do I need to be concerned that my child had some chips from this bag? What is it?!?!?!?
I’ve said it before and l’ll say it again, neglect is a form of trainee abuse.
If you don’t have the bandwidth to effectively mentor, don’t take trainees.
And if you see neglect, don’t say it’s due to busy PIs or big labs - that’s excusing bad behavior & discounting the trainee
@LisaIronTongue At the beginning of the performance the announcement said that they have many first time opera goers. If this was my first opera I wouldn’t want to come back. 3/3
Opera companies can keep trying to make opera singers more like pop stars, commission flashy productions, do bug marketing campaigns, if the only way to do opera is to continue retelling the same terrible misogynistic stories (like Strauss’ Die Frau Ohne Schatten) opera will die.
@LisaIronTongue Seeing Frau this afternoon was one of my worst opera experiences. The entire story women are either threatened with death or asked to prove their value via reproduction. Why did we need to see so many machetes on stage?). 2/
Insult to injury, David Hockney’s staging is stilted and has the caliber of a high school production (add zero to the production other than making the “other worlds” have an Asian aesthetic/costume while “this world” of humans look European). The roles are also terribly miscast.
Coming back to Twitter with the hope that @SFOpera will see this. The decision to put up Die Frau Ohne Schautten, a misogynistic, rape filled, Stockholm syndrome opera (exhibit A: only two characters have actual names in the show, both are men) is gross.
I’m so disappointed.
