@73Julesb@CllrAledT Why would anyone with a brain just abandon any hope of getting the change they want, by your own admission? Because of a funding scandal that has happened to every other party 100 times?
@Perseverer4@ElectionMapsUK@claire_adams694 Presumably just lower turnout. Reform voters tend to be among the more disenfranchised who only vote in bigger elections that feel like they matter.
@AlanShanks4 For anyone unaware of how this is being spun: Scottish nationalists ask for a referendum every 5 minutes until they get the result they want.
@BBCBreakfast Is Kemi prejudging the outcome of the Standards Committee? It's almost like a committee made up of only Tory, Labour and Lib Dem MPs is rigged against Farage from the start. Who'd have thought?
@PippaCrerar@Telegraph If this matter is included in the current Parliamentary Standards investigation, then is it right that he is prohibited from commenting on it?
Have you conveniently decided to ignore that fact when reporting this and 1,000 other stories over the last few months?
@testosteroneHAV The whole point of the Parliamentary investigation is to sanction him with a forced by-election. This is just pre-empting that. Unless the process itself is intended as the punishment?
@JackWDart The harshest sanction the Standards Committee can impose is a forced by-election, because in our democracy, the electorate is the only fit judge for an MP. Now the committee (owned by the mainstream parties) has decided its judgement must be above his constituents' judgment.
@AbdiDuale_ Endless criticism of Farage, but too cowardly to contest an election against him says on thing very clearly: You believe that your opinion is more important than his constituents'. That's not how our democracy works.
