Shaykh Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:
“Whoever avoids marriage out of fear of poverty or hardship has fallen into the deception of Shaytān.”
📚 •Majmūʿ al-Fatāwā 32/263
Tafsir:
‘An ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAbbās:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent word to Wahshī, the killer of Ḥamzah, inviting him to Islam.
Wahshī sent back saying:
“O Muḥammad, how can you call me to Islam when you claim that whoever kills, commits shirk, or commits zinā will meet punishment the torment will be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection and he will remain therein humiliated? And I have done all of that. Is there any concession for me?”
So Allah revealed:
“Except for whoever repents, believes, and does righteous deeds for those, Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (25:70)
Wahshī said:
“This condition is severe repentance, faith, and righteous deeds, and I am not sure I can fulfill that.”
So Allah revealed:
“Indeed, Allah does not forgive associating partners with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills.” (4:48)
Wahshī said:
“This leaves it to Allah’s will, and I do not know whether I will be forgiven or not. Is there anything other than this?”
So Allah revealed:
“O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah.” (39:53)
Wahshī said:
“Yes, this is it.”
So he accepted Islam.
The people then said:
“O Messenger of Allah, is this (verse) only for him?”
He said:
“Rather, it is general for the Muslims.”
Ibn al-Qayyim:
“An intelligent person should recognise that those who are addicted to their desires eventually reach a state where they no longer even enjoy them - yet they are unable to abandon them, for these desires have become as essential to them as life itself.”
Causes of Joy to Ones’ Heart:
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
“Four things that bring joy to the heart:
• Looking at loved ones
• Looking at the blue sky
• Looking at flowing water
• Looking at greenery.”

🖊️The balanced statement of Shaykh Uthman Al-Khamees (Hafidhahullah) about the Ottoman Empire.⚔️
Question: Was the Ottoman State (Ad-Dawlah Al-Uthmaniyyah) upon the truth?
Answer: The Ottoman State was like any other of the states, such as the Umayyad State, the Abbasid State, and the Ayyubid State. In them, there was good and there was evil; there was error and there was correctness. However, there is no doubt that it was an Islamic state and an Islamic caliphate.
And through it, Allah gave victory to the religion, and through it, Allah gave honor to the Muslims.
And mistakes were present. Among some of the rulers, there was Sufism, just as in the Abbasid State there was Mu'tazilism—the doctrine of the createdness of the Qur'an—like with [Caliphs] al-Ma'mun, al-Wathiq, and al-Mu'tasim.
And there were some governors who had an element of immorality (fisq), whether in the Umayyad State or the Abbasid State, or in the state of al-Andalus, or among the Mamluks. These states were not devoid of the existence of some rulers from whom occurred oppression, or from whom occurred immorality (fisq), or from whom occurred sins and other such things.
But in general, through the Ottoman State, Allah honored Islam, and through them, Allah disciplined (restricted) the Jews, the Christians, and the Magians. And through them, Allah honored Islam, and Islam had its era of influence and its strength.
There is no doubt that it was a blessed state, but mistakes did occur from it—there is no doubt in this.
And Allah knows best.
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله:
"The blessings that descend upon children are due to the deeds of their parents, and the blessings that descend upon parents are due to the dua of their children."

Nothing brings more barakah in life than two things:
1. Abundantly reciting the Qur’an
2. Showing utmost kindness and respect to your Parents.
Imām Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
“Immediate repentance is obligatory after committing a sin.
It is not permissible to delay it.
Whenever someone delays it, he has committed (another) sin by delaying it.
Too lazy to complete all 5 of your daily prayers?
Look at your sins
Are they what’s blocking you from the blessing of worshipping Allah 5x a day?
The videos you watch when nobody’s around
The music you listen to
The lies you tell
The backbiting you do
The swear words you utter
The (minor) shirk you commit when swearing by other than Allah
Disrespecting your parents
The alcohol you consume
The haram relationship you refuse to let go of
All of these are severing your connection with Allah, blackening your heart and resulting in you NOT CARING about praying 5x a day
