GOP senators are claiming Jack Smith secretly collected texts from dozens of members of Congress, most of them Trump supporters, even though Smith had testified previously that he only looked at metadata. “It appears, if this is true, that Smith committed perjury,” says @MarkHalperin. Says @LarryOConnor, “if Jack Smith... did nothing... illegal or improper or a violation of the Constitution and separation of powers, then he should be the first one saying, ‘come on, I’m an open book.
