Gen Z has never lived in a world without Netflix, which started in... 1997, just like Gen Z.

Pointing to the end of Blockbuster's stores in 2016 as the end of Blockbuster is kind of the point. You don't know what the world without movies and gaming online was like. You, personally, might not have had those things early, but your friends, family, and media had it.

You can go look up, "Be King, Rewind," but it's not the same thing as having actually lived there, where you get a VHS that ISN'T rewound and grumbling going on around you as you have to rewind the movie before everyone can watch it.

You don't know the pre-TiVo world.

It's not really any different than how Millennials may have used message boards, etc., but don't REALLY know what life was like when there were ONLY Community Memory, BBS, etc.

It's not about being able to CONCEPTUALIZE, it's about internal understanding.

It's just saying Gen Z isn't old.
