I've never seen VAR get it more right than it did today.
On the disallowed goal, the stomp changes possession, and no Argentina player touches the ball before the goal. By the letter of the law, it's the correct decision.
As for the last-minute Salah incident, Álvarez clearly gets to the ball first. The ball is already out of Salah's possession before any contact occurs. More importantly, Álvarez isn't stomping on him. He clearly pulls his leg away.
Keep crying if it gives you peace. But football is just cruel at times. And it's completely alright to perceive it purely through your senses rather than through nuance. So I can understand why all these reactions are coming from all sides.
