The Grayzone just undercut its own year-long narrative about Charlie Kirk “turning against Israel.”

For months, @MaxBlumenthal and @TheGrayzoneNews have framed Kirk as increasingly breaking with Israel, rejecting pro-Israel money, resisting donor pressure, and ultimately having “turned against Israel.”

Now they’ve published what they say is a leaked TPUSA contract signed May 16, 2025 while Kirk was alive and still running TPUSA — for a $700,000 multi-year sponsorship with the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.

The deal included pro-Israel campus programming, an “Israel Activism Kit,” October 7 programming, and distribution to 200+ campuses.

That complicates claim that Kirk had broadly abandoned Israel or severed TPUSA’s institutional relationship with pro-Israel organizations.

In fact, The Grayzone’s own leak suggests the opposite: while Kirk was alive, TPUSA had entered a substantial, multi year Israel advocacy partnership.

If this memo are true (we know Max’s reporting won’t be)

Kirk criticized some Israeli policies and pro Israel pressure while TPUSA simultaneously maintained significant institutional and financial ties to pro-Israel advocacy.

That is very different from “Charlie Kirk turned against Israel.”

And importantly, nothing in this contract establishes Israeli government involvement, nor does political disagreement establish motive or causation. It’s a U.S. 501(c)3.
