The wonderful Langres from Champagne.
Strikingly orange in colour due to being washed in annatto mixed with the grape spirit marc. Creamy, slightly chalky in the centre, a little fruity and boozy. Strong on the aroma, but the bark is bigger than the bite!

Grape Marc being collected this morning by the local farmer. Grape Marc is a waste product for us, it is the skins, pips and stalks left over once we have extracted the delicious juice. A local farmer collects this and is able to add it to feed for his cows.
