@__Ranen__ @bandit4470 But it’s also not difficult to have the car sets to have the headlights on automatic.
We have that in our trucks, the earliest are the 67 plates, so it has been around awhile
@bandit4470 I’ve rung the police in the past over such people like that. Usually they are driving around in areas with unlit roads and the only lights are their reflectors.
If you can’t remember to put your lights on at night time, then are you really in competent control of your vehicle?
@BootsUK What’s with your opticians? They never answer the phone or if they do it’s an answerphone to say use a hotmail address to set an appointment? Do you not support them with corporate email?!! But you still send me letters telling me I need my eye tests sorted!
@TrainTraveller5 @Bradford_CROW Green laning is driving legal unsurfaced roads. There is a separate thing called “Pay & Play off road sites” which you are talking about.
@SurreyRoadCops@RockinRicky1 @VolvoCarUK @jeanettegriggs Are the LED side/headlamp lights actually flashing ? I drive vehicles with electronic rearview mirrors, and most LED headlights come up as strobes and flashes already. So I wasn’t sure if it was just a camera video?
@CTILUK Do you have an email address where I can report your damaged equipment? It’s nice having the form on your website, but there’s lots of information you require to complete the form that I don’t have as a member of the public….
@RalphHosier It’s saying something when the best thing I’ve driven so far recently has been the new Scania 4X2 p360. Not especially powerful, but it does drive nice and sounds nice compared to the rest of the fleet.
@GarminUK Having spent over £300 on the Dezl LGV700 I am annoyed to find it does not include routing around the Birmingham Clean Air Zone.
'Avoid Environmental Zones' doesn't work, no updates are available. When will this be fixed?
My LR D2 is having its MOT and some welding done. Thanks to a mate I am borrowing his 24 year old V8 Auto Defender ;) https://t.co/2UgpSsDp0d Borrowed on and off for the last 15 years ;)
@SusanTheSilent@PTHosford When I started at this company I was working midnight till 3 pm, but on my days off I had to be awake between 6-9pm. So after a year I changed my duty to be 12 noon to 6 pm start for the standard 10 to 15 hour shift, as required.
Sleep patterns are much nicer now
@SusanTheSilent@PTHosford My sleep time has adapted to my work hours. So I generally sleep 3 am to 12 noon. I often work anywhere between 12 noon to 6 pm start for a 10 to 15 hour shift. That shift may be out driving delivery trucks or walking around the depot moving trucks around to get loaded & parked
@Deisecelt@PTHosford I drive for a living. After 12-15 hour duties I can generally fall asleep within minutes if not seconds. I use voice dictation on my phone to set an alarm to get 20 minutes of nap before getting back on the road during the day.
@PTHosford If I’m tired I can do that. I was out with an assessor, we started at a later time then I was used to, for a straight run down to Swansea for a delivery, and then back.Pulled into services and fell asleep within seconds after setting alarm whilst h he was still talking to me
