Does he have any clue the number of ladderwells (stairs) on a ship? Working at sea is like owning a Stairmaster 10,000.
And when did losing 20lbs become a bad thing?
Did I just wake up in the twilight zone?
Somebody just donated $20,000 and pushed us to $108,000 raised! 🔥🔥🔥
Now I’m challenging everybody who follows us: Can we match that $20,000 in the next 24 HOURS?
$5, $20, $100… it all adds up.
$20,000. 24 hours. LET’S GO! ❤️
Europe urged to build 1,000 shallow-water ships
"German inland shipping heavyweight HGK is calling for a government-backed programme to mobilise up to €12.5bn ($14.4bn) of investment in 1,000 new shallow-water-capable vessels across Europe by 2035."
Hey, @POTUS, how about some US shipbuilding along these lines for our inland and coastal fleet.

Would you want to spend your day cleaning up other people’s poop?
The boys met a man who cleans porta potties.
Every mess you make becomes somebody else’s responsibility.
Respect isn’t just how you treat people you know—it’s how you treat the people you’ll never meet.
Today, @HomeGoods donated $10,000 to The X for Boys & Girls, helping push us even closer to our $270,000 fundraising goal!
We’re still raising! Every donation helps keep our programs FREE for our kids. Let’s keep going! ❤️
Postcards From the Edge
I meant to post these photos last week on my flight back from Alaska, but I feel asleep on the plane shortly after snapping this image of Mt. McKinley, which is pretty unusual, given the fact that it’s normally shrouded in mist and clouds. I slept the whole flight, got stupidly busy the moment I landed, and stayed that way for the next two weeks. Consequently, I forgot to thank everyone in Alaska for making me feel so welcome up on the Last Frontier.
I’m exaggerating, of course. I didn’t meet everybody in Alaska. I only met everybody in Homer and Fairbanks, two cities I was delighted to finally visit. I also got to meet Governor Mike Dunleavy and Senator Dan Sullivan, two politicians who I affirmatively do not disdain, and hang out with my friends from Wells Fargo, who have done more to support the skilled trades and my foundation than any other bank in the country.
Governor Dunleavy met me in Homer, at an amazing family business called Bay Weld Boats. These guys make all types of aluminum boats, and as you might imagine, they have more work than they can possibly complete. Alaska is bordered by two oceans and three seas. It also has 12,000 rivers, and over 3 million lakes. There is an astonishing amount of water up there, and the aluminum boat business is booming.
Anyway, I was there because Bay Weld Boats has hired a number of welders from a vocational school called AVTEC, which my foundation supports. Welding aluminum is very tricky and requires highly skilled tradespeople. Bay Weld Boats is always hiring, and AVTEC is doing all they can to train the next generation of Alaskan welders. In fact, we’ve had a handful of people apply for scholarships to this school, and all have gone on to do great things. For that reason, @WellsFargo donated $250,000 to AVTEC and asked if I’d present the check on their behalf, along with the Governor, who really does give a damn about his state, and the people in it.
Then it was up to Fairbanks, to visit another terrific trade school - The Fairbanks Pipeline Training Center. Actually, it was a pretty close call, getting out of Homer. For reasons that were never made clear, they canceled the only flight to Fairbanks that day. It’s a eleven-hour bus ride to Fairbanks from Homer, and I was scheduled to meet Senator Sullivan three hours hence. Happily, everyone in Homer has a pilot’s license, and something resembling a plane, usually parked in the backyard. We found one such pilot, and one such plane, and got there just in time to eat lunch with the Senator, take an extensive tour of the facility, and present another fat check to another great school, courtesy of Wells Fargo.
What makes The Fairbanks Pipeline Training Center so great? Well, for starters, they train pipeline workers, one of the most essential jobs in America. Thanks to the shale revolution, the Lower 48 are not as reliant on the North Slope as we once were, but the folks in California, Hawaii, and Washington would be absolutely screwed without that pipeline, and the workers who keep the oil flowing. I’m telling you, those men and women are unexampled in their skill, worth ethic, and pure grit. As one instructor put it, “Yeah, we’ve seen you hanging out with the fisherman on the Bering Sea. That’s a Garden Party. Come on up to the Slope, where it’s 30 below and dark all day. You’ll love it!”
After we presented the training facility with another check for $250,000, Senator Sullivan led a panel discussion that reinforced a simple truth I’d learned a long time ago, when I first started filming in Alaska. We are blessed – profoundly blessed – to have such an incredible resource as part of these United States. The entire state has a population about that of San Franciso, but is larger than Texas, Montana, and California combined. Just magnificent.
Big thanks to the Governor and the Senator for making time to support the trades, and an even bigger thanks to Wells Fargo for showing up where they actually do business, and putting their money where their mouth is. As for the rest of you, mikeroweWORKS is currently accepting applications for the next round of work ethic scholarships. AVTEC and the Fairbanks Pipeline Training Facility are both supported. 6 months till Night to Shine 2027. Let's go!!
First time hearing about it? It's not about the red carpet or the crowns. It's a celebration of someone realizing they've always had worth because they're made in the image of God.
Save the date: February 12, 2027. Who's coming?
🚨 WOW. This brave Christian migrant from Iran walked up and WENT BERSERK on the proposed Islamic Center in McKinney, TX — straight to the council's face
The whole building ERUPTED after his dire warning:
"I'm a Sharia law survivor from Iran."
"I'm TELLING YOU, this is a BAD idea and you're going to REGRET not listening to people like us who lived under Sharia law!"
"I'm here to tell you this is a DANGEROUS ideology you're allowing in your country. Every country that is Islamic now, it used to be a Christian country and we were soft Christians."
"And we allowed these people to come in, bring their Sharia law into our countries and slowly k*ll us off left and right!"
"Let me make it very clear to you. Christianity is a personal relationship with God...Islam is Sharia law. Religion and state, which is not even compatible with the American thing and when these people will lie to you, to manipulate you."
"Because whenever Islam is little, they will lie to you and tell you they come in peace. This is level one!"
"Level two is what's happening in UK right now, where you have two-tier policing, where you have the blasphemy laws, Islamophobia, racism, all this nonsense that they talk about."
"Any time you criticize Islam, they will use the race card, but every country has this disgusting ideology inside their country, including my own country, Iran, Russia, Islamophobia is another made up bullsh*t because they don't want you to criticize their death cult!"
"If you question that disgusting book, they're get k*lled over it, just like my friends were apostates imprisoned or dead right now in Iran!"
HE NAILED IT!!!
🚨 NOW: Elon Musk RIPS Twitch for suspending popular steamer Asmongold over his opposition the 3rd world invasion by barbarians and Islamists — despite the platform allowing HASAN PIKER, who calls for violence and wants to destroy the West
“Why does Twitch have this double-standard?” 💯
It’s OK to defend the West!
Hasan Piker should be deported.
Mike Rowe tells Bill Maher that his conservative friends “lost their minds” because he was talking to him…and his liberal friends “lost their minds” because he spoke to Glenn Beck — in the same week.
That was the exact moment Maher interrupted Rowe with a legendary one-liner that light the place on fire:
MAHER: “F*CK both of them!”
[Audience erupts in laughter and applause]
ROWE: “You know what?…”
“It was truly the first time, though, I realized I don’t think people are listening to anything I’m saying. I think they’re looking at who I’m sitting next to.”
MAHER: “Yeah, people don’t engage… I make this complaint all the time.”
“I just say to people whenever they criticize me, are you engaging with the idea?”
“If you are, we are good.”
“If you’re just saying no, you’re old, you’re White, you’re this, you’re that, or on the other side, you’re Black….”
“That’s not the idea. Engage with the idea!”
ROWE: “What a concept!”
[Applause]
