I needed to vent. Maybe someone knows something on how to help fix this "I can't afford to live" issue. It's not just diabetics.

"I can't afford to live" said a Type 2 diabetic teacher WITH insurance. He took his insulin qod instead of qd. Healthy otherwise. Fit. Athletic. But diabetes doesn't always care about that. Meanwhile Big Pharma continues to charge ridiculously for insulin.

I've had to stretch out my insulin as well. I've tried to correspond w/the company who makes my insulin to no avail. They don't care as long as they're making money. I'm completely with the teacher. I cannot afford to live. Not looking for sympathy or anything.

My insulin costs almost $600/mo. I have insurance that won't cover until I meet an $8000 deductible. Unlike the teacher I have high BP/cholesterol. I work out 4-5 days a week. Diet not the best, but good. Low carb. No sweets. But A1C & blood sugar readings still up.
