@tacopilled Its because they are using Vulkan now and around 2018 is when "modern" gpu hardware architecture became a thing. a dev can safely assume hardwear from 2018+ will support Vulkan 1.4 and extra gpu features.

@Genki_JPN i could see a 3d game thats similar scale to the original if not a bit more. fix top down camera, art style similar to the cover art but painted on 3d models. Keep the overworld, no need for a open world like ff7r. Gameplay is the same, can change combat as long as its turnbased.

@ivyanimations The issue is that they overly blur/pillow ALL the textures witch is something you should never do with pixel art. it comes off as a lazy hack because they have so many assets.
iv seen some fan reskins that dont use the blur brush and it looks so much better, its night and day.

@BenjiGameDev Latency means only slow pace or turn based games work for cloud gaming. Anything that is action based or even worse fps or fighting game, real time competitive games will not work for cloud gaming.

@ThePeakEnjoyer this does not work that well. the latency is way to high for a lot of games and has bad stability. you can't beat the speed of light.

@spicyboipasta @MOLENAIDE i have not used ai image generator's for some time but the last time i checked from a normal artist point of view you lose a lot of control. Imagine using a pen and have a much more natural experience interacting with it. Kinda like vector graphics, or 3d modeling. i don't know.

@taurilabs LLMs use statistical prediction meaning there is always going to be error rate. They lack hard symbolic reasoning and have to hack it in with harnesses and hard-validators that still leak.

They seem good for internal one off tools or prototypes were you don't care about quality

@QueenMab87 @rell_aitch You can ask it a query and to give you back a table of info and links and it will then look over at 60+ pages in 6 seconds and give back a table with academic sources. You can then go and look at the sources your self, no reason to let it think for you.

@ILucasK The only way it could even work is if he is no longer the same character. he dies here and is "reborn" as a new character Infused by Ultima Thule effects or something. I don't think that would be worth tho.
