A cargo ship that burned off Sri Lanka's coast for 2 weeks is now sinking with 300 tons of oil in its tanks, threatening an oil spill.

The ship leaked microplastics to beaches, sparking an environmental disaster. Fishing is now banned, a "death blow" to thousands of livelihoods.

Night shift 4 & my after shift #2minutestreetclean showed that society is not listening, when it comes to #pollution. I collected over 80 polystyrene containers and over 60 plastic forks, with more scattered like sprinkles. When will we ban them @Conservatives ? #PlasticPollution

8 hour night shift at the casino complete. Then went and did a 90 minute #2minutestreetclean 2 bags later & a failed attempt to pick the moon. I'm now sat with a hot chocolate before bed. Then it will be click repeat and try to help out planet. #pollution #plasticpollution
