🧬 Gene editing is steering us into a future where inherited diseases are optional, not inevitable.
Picture what’s ahead in the next 10–20 years:
✅ Sickle cell & beta thalassemia cured at scale, replacing transfusion wards with normal childhoods.
✅ In vivo gene editing tackling blindness, high cholesterol, and rare metabolic disorders. No hospital stays, just a one-time dose.
✅ Base-edited CAR-Ts evolving into frontline cancer weapons, wiping out solid tumors once thought untouchable
✅ Gene switches fine-tuned for longevity, repairing aging cells before disease ever appears.
✅ Once delivery hurdles fall, gene editing could rewrite the future of cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, and even neurodegenerative giants like Alzheimer’s, turning lifelong disease management into one-time cures.
The boundary between “treatment” and “cure” is about to blur.
$CRSP $BEAM $NTLA $PRME
John, as you are a Director of Beam Therapeutics and the former CEO of RNAi platform Co Alnylam, your view here surprises me.
I can e.g. remember Alnylam sending out seize and desist letters to competing, early-stage RNAi companies for violating Alnylam's fundamental IP. Similarly, Ionis sued and threatened to sue companies raising capital based on their IP. Well, in that case, you/Alnylam was a target.
Anyhow, this China is a flagrant violation of $beam exclusive IP and I, as a shareholder in Beam expect you, as a Director of Beam, to do something about it.
Ward 250 has achieved the first step of power ascension and is currently standing at 10kW of thermal output, marking the first nuclear power generated by a startup.
Milestone moment:
✅ New Zealand Clinical Trial Application cleared for PM577a
✅ First clinical authorization for our in vivo Prime Editing therapy
✅ Phase 1/2 trial in Wilson disease to begin
A step toward a potential one-time genetic cure. Data expected 2027.
@3primeAnalytica@JessieChimni You mean sell $beam above $30 and buy below $26 on repeat forever 😂. One day that won't work, and it will be a beautiful day.
Initially faded $ZEC as an end-of-cycle pump, but I now think there is a decent chance it could become a new store of value asset in coming years. The volume, tech, and attention are there. Governance drama may provide nice entries if markets don't die.
@Merridew__ I mean I won’t say life changing but I very much enjoyed it. Big octopus guy. We don’t get a lot of octopus fiction really need to savor it.
Very interested in owning $MP and $LEU at some point since they are borderline monopolies for rare earth and nuclear production in the US but need a lot more red first
