…we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, … that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.
@abrasive_noodle@EHolmgren5 There is a lot of gold used in our temples. That symbol is just the only one you’re seeing. I know you think you’ve got some significant point here but you don’t.
@abrasive_noodle Jesus is not symbolic. He is a real, living being. We worship Him and Him alone. The first five books of the OT and 2 Kings with Solomon’s temple will help you see the use of gold plated emblems in Gods holy houses.
@abrasive_noodle@EHolmgren5 Gold used in symbolic emblems of the temple has historical roots all the way back to Moses’ tabernacle. They are not ever items of worship, but items with symbolic meaning. We worship a living God, not idols.
@KonradIMasovia@YourMomSMorris@PeacemakingSt I don’t care how you see it. You have been reading fake news. My great(+) grandfather was in the room when he died. He gave a first person testimony he took to his death of what went down that day. You may spew your lies. But know they are lies and you will be held to account.
@KonradIMasovia@YourMomSMorris@PeacemakingSt When will you people realize that Christ and his gospel never fail. Men fail! To say otherwise is to imagine a God who accepts sin and who is neither just nor merciful. You, sir, are the lost soul.
@JSGleason136245@nazjavladimir Amen. Which is why I refuse to engage in the rage-bait of tired arguments that have been addressed and choose to be entertained instead. These are not good faith arguments and this isn’t the place to debate. True discovery and understanding cannot be found in wordbites.
@JSGleason136245@nazjavladimir Maybe I wasn’t trying to argue. Not everything has to be a debate. The position posted is silly, tired 🥱, overused, and has been addressed on every level for at least 200 years. It’s a weak position that doesn’t hold water and isn’t worth the time.
@nazjavladimir Nothing desperate on my end. You are the one grasping at straws. I am intentionally waving my hand at your eager posts; I have zero desire to engage in an argument with you as you are clearly resolved on your position. But I am entertained nonetheless.
@nazjavladimir This is such a funny argument. Sorry, but I can’t help but laugh. The Bible is full of anachronisms. Usually, with the BOM, such things appear to be so due to lack of understanding.
@abrasive_noodle There is no avoidance in my answer. I explained the purpose and symbol of the angel which was your first question. Christ is not depicted as a golden symbol. He is a living God worthy of more than gold. The house is erected and all aspects point to Him which is greatest of all.
@jonathanplumb If we are in the seventh seal, and there is ample evidence we are, then Rev 11 is fulfilled, as it occurs in the vision during the blowing of the 6th trumpet which is a memorial of the events of the 6th seal. I write at length about it in my book Erchomenos, the One Who is Coming
@PNW_working_mom@abrasive_noodle You’re on a different topic. We were discussing the purpose of an angel stop the temples and you said it wasn’t biblical.
@surskitmaxxing At the risk of becoming a recipient of your relentless arguing…please tell me how one can be a king without a kingdom? (eg. Revelation 1:5-6)
