PewDiePie is still underrated.
He uploaded nearly daily and involved only incrementally.
He didn’t chase absurd levels of quality or production or spectacle,
He just made sure he became something people could look forward to everyday for 12 years straight…
His first 100 videos only got him 2500 subscribers.
He couldn’t be a YouTube partner until 30,000 because at the time they weren’t monetizing gamers due to copyright risks…
He never hired and overly large team or made expensive content.
At most he hired 2 editors and once and awhile a thumbnail artist but he was a master of photoshop himself.
Doing YouTube that way still works.
Not for viral videos, but sustainability…
