In 2025, sanctuary jurisdictions declined to honor 17,864 ICE detainers on criminal illegal immigrants arrested for crimes (per DHS data reported by Secretary Noem; total detainers issued: ~201k).
In Illinois (incl. Chicago/Cook County), 1,768 were released after local arrests due to sanctuary policies since Jan. 20, 2025 (incl. 5 homicides, 141 assaults, 24 drug offenses, 10 sexual predator cases; 4,015 active detainers pending as of Dec. 2025).
ICE can still pursue at-large arrests.

@RealJamesWoods Apparently, rape isn’t a crime. Probation and community service is the answer - said no victim of rape. The judge was delusional and should be sentenced to jail for life. Those poor victims will live with that forever.
@elonmusk I don’t think they were very careful in their review. If you kill someone and partially eat them - you should be kept away from others forever.
