Sure, range is an issue if you work at the other end of the country, but for popping to the shops, dropping the kids at school?

Partly, the current evolution of modern classics is down to those who are of the PlayStation generation suddenly having disposable income. Coupled with interest rates on savings, having something for your money makes sense.
@Chris_Pickering At least amongst the romantics, the automotive sect and those who just enjoy driving.
For the others to whom the car is an A2B tool, then they will not really mind which they drive as long as it is seen as green.
@Chris_Pickering Fortunately, I think you make a good observation with the role of the EV and the survival of the ICE.
Whereas I would envisage that the future lies between the two, especially if we manufacture our own fuels in the future, the event of EVβs will strengthen the desire for ICE.
