Lu Dort was the longest tenured Thunder player and genuinely one of my favorite players of all time
He was a catalyst that turned the Thunder around in 2019-2020 as an undrafted rookie who became a starter and gave Harden hell round one before one of the greatest game 7 peer romances ever
He grew into one of the best defenders in the sport and a knockdown shooter who saved the championship run in that series vs the Nuggets
His moonball three from halfcourt in game 7 is the moment where it felt like the championship was won
From undrafted to a champion with the Thunder, I hope the #5 isn’t worn for the Thunder again
Thank you @luthebeast for everything, we’re not champions without you
Now that Dort is off my team, I can comfortably say he isn’t dirty, rather clueless and reckless. He is probably the worst enforcer that’s ever been hyped up. He would’ve been so sick if he had Draymond’s antics. I wouldn’t have considered trading him and would’ve actually paid him if he was the villain this app thought he was.
Just imagined Shai telling Ares the news..
Shai: “Ares, sweetheart, come here, Daddy has to tell you something”
Ares: “what is it dad is it a ice cweam twip”
Shai: “No sweetheart. I’m sorry. Uncle Lu.. Uncle Lu got traded.”
Ares: *runs off in tears* “NOOO UNCLE LU GOT TWADED”
