Abdullah Nabhan is my cousin. He has nothing to do with Hamas or armed groups. He was given a permit by Israeli authorities to visit Al-Aqsa Mosque shortly before Oct 2023.

His family are appalled by the AI obituary the Khan Younis-based Sada Hay Al-Amal media group initially posted depicting him as a fighter. They will be contacted today to delete this false news.

I also have spoken to several friends and relatives of Abdullah who recounted to me that he was always with them since Oct 7 and was supposed to have a barbecue with them on the day he was killed.

Abdullah was a caring father and a hardworking humble man who never had a political or military affiliation but was deliberately murdered by Israel.

Col. Nochi Mendel, who ordered three Israeli drone strikes on the WCK convoy in Gaza in April 2024, defended his decision to Australia’s ABC after being removed from his post over serious failures and breaches of procedure.

Mendel claimed WCK had “ties to Hamas” and was “not really… innocent,” although he acknowledged he did not know of those alleged links when he ordered the attack.

Israel last week declined to pursue a criminal investigation against the commander.
