If you really locked in with somebody, you move different. Yeah, you grown, you can do whatever, but some things you just don’t do outta respect for your person. Ain’t about them controlling you or being insecure, it’s about loyalty and boundaries. Before you pull a move, ask yourself if you’d be cool with them doing it to you. If not, sit yo ass down .
Sure I cried, I begged, l blew up your phone. I got angry, I wouldn't leave you alone. Sure I seemed crazy and annoying, but you can never say I didn’t try tho.
no revenge, but one day you’ll realize i had the purest intentions with you, unlike everyone else. people like me don’t come around often.
you’ll remember how i listened when no one else cared, how i saw good in you when you couldn’t see it yourself.
how i stayed when i could’ve left, forgave when i could’ve been angry, and wished you well when i had every reason not to. i wasn’t perfect, but i was real, and that’s rare.
one day you’ll understand what kind of presence i was the kind that doesn’t come twice. and you’ll realize losing me wasn’t just losing a person, it was losing someone who only ever wanted the best for you.
My problem is I don’t stop trying until I completely stop caring. I’ll give chance after chance, keep believing things can get better, and hold on longer than I should. But once I’ve finally had enough, there’s nothing left to fix. You don’t lose me overnight. You lose me after I’ve exhausted every reason to stay.
Breakups hurt, yeah. But you know what hurts even more? Staying. Staying and trying to “make it work” with someone who has shown you over and over that they don’t value you, don’t prioritize you, and don’t care about your feelings. Begging for bare minimum. Hoping they’ll change. Ignoring the proof right in front of you. That kind of pain drags out way longer than a breakup ever could. Sometimes the real heartbreak isn’t losing them it’s realizing you stayed too long trying to convince someone to love you the right way. THAT’S what really hurts.
Normalize not forcing your importance in someone's life. Let people do what they want so you can see what they'd rather do. If someone doesn't see the value in having you by their side, don’t try to convince them.
It is crazy how a single moment of misunderstanding can become so toxic that it makes you forget the thousands of lovely moments you have spent together with someone. Anger has a terrible way of rewriting history.
If we date, don’t stop being you. Keep having fun, keep seeing your friends, keep chasing your goals, and keep enjoying your life. A relationship should add to your life, not take away from it. Just make sure you save time for us too.
