@D_The_Husband The key is control, which generally improves with time/rank. White belts have physicality but no control. Purple belts have both, but can't turn off the physicality. Black belts will roll as hard as you need, but the probability of injury is low.
@billybinion There has in fact been science done that demonstrates vastly improved performance from kids with later school days. The current schedule is an obsolete vestige of 9-5 labor schedules.
@GadSaad The lesson to be learned here: You can’t make an absolute, unequivocal rule about basically anything. Circumstances call for a conversation; have a conversation.
@Nikki_tay13 You really can’t get justifiably mad unless it’s intentional or reckless. And those guys learn or leave (if I have anything to say about it).
One of my favorite black belt quotes: “We’re not playing f*cking Patty Cake here.”
@alojoh@noabrams Of course grey cats specifically aren’t the thing; it’s an example.
Big picture, some Karen screaming about her smooshed Chihuahua on the “news” has the potential to slow rollout/adoption more, and with worse optics, than being cautious in the first place.
@Jainadave_ The actual creatine doesn’t add mass (other than water, which is temporary). What it does is improve your endurance and recovery so YOU can work harder and gain more.
Also good for the brain.
Everybody should be taking creatine.
Not just lifters.
Everybody.
@D_The_Husband Two factors:
- The higher the belt, the more *able* to roll light.
- Regardless of 👆, I will usually give you what you give me.
So the math works out as follows: If you asked a brown/black belt to roll light, and you ended up getting mulched, it’s probably your fault 😇
@herbertong What seems to happen at least as often is that map data overrides visual. I've got several spots in my town where I can *see* the speed limit sign go by on the visualization, and it's correct, but FSD maintains (or changes to) the wrong speed anyway.
@b2hcraig Okay, but can we do slow & controlled exclusively? I’ve found that leaves me vulnerable to sudden movements/impacts in the real world. Whereas including explosive movements seems to make me more resilient in those areas. Something something fast twitch?
