A change to top divisions definitely needed. Perhaps a 14 team premiership and 14 team championship would work with playing each other twice and then a split of 7 teams, playing each other twice, giving teams a 38 game season (26 games + 12 games) Relegation would be 2up 2 down!!

In terms of the Pyramid it would be much more beneficial for the @ScottishFA members to pass a resolution to restructure the top tiers in the football pyramid. Club42 is creating a bottleneck

Abundantly clear Scotland lack any genuine quality at the top level. No great surprise due to the lack of Scottish players playing regularly in top level leagues. The lack of under 21 Scottish players playing 1st team football in @spfl doesn’t help either. 🤔

An interesting article which highlights the imbalances which currently exist within the so called football pyramid. Those currently in the @spfl will do whatever it takes to remain. A decent club like @BuckieThistle should get the chance of promotion. #2up2down

@spfl & @ScottishFA shifted the goal posts on promotion criteria in order to stop decent teams like @BuckieThistle getting a fair chance of promotion. All to ensure existing @spfl clubs remain where they are. Clubs with a recently acquired SFA Licence don’t get a vote at AGM 🤔

Yes cup ties are one off games, but some of these results (and recent years) perhaps shows that larger number of teams in top leagues with more promotion/relegation should be viable for @ScottishFA @spfl football
