Investing in all markets since 2014. Uncovering hidden alpha before main street finds it gives great satisfaction. I'm wrong 50% of the time. DYODD, NFA.

The bear case is real: ASP compression, Huawei/RoboSense competition, China/U.S. geopolitics, while actuator validation is still needed. But if core lidar stays profitable and robotics/actuation scale, todayโs ~$2B+ valuation could look very small. Disclosure: Long at $16+.

$HSAI may be one of the best pick-and-shovel way to play autonomy + robotics. Already THE market leader in automotive lidar today, investors stand to win if their growth optionality in robotics lidar and actuation modules start to scale.

Balance-sheet risk is unusually low for a growth story: Hesai has roughly $1B in cash/investments and limited debt. That lets it fund robotics + actuation internally while many speculative robotics companies still depend on outside capital.
@Biotech2k1 What do you make of $PYPL? It fails your 10%+ growth as of current standings, but corporate restructuring or turnaround may change things. Notwithstanding that, it fits your "near 52-week low" criteria, and is at extremely cheap valuation. I have a bag.
@liquidsky1967 This is pretty close to my own calculations. Our line items have some different values but for GAAP EPS I ended up with ~-$0.034 per ADS.
Also, looking out for surprise developments that happened during the quarter to push EPS upwards (aligning with what Qin Lihong said).
@D438558409 I'm considering to buy a 2nd tranche of shares in here, but would like to get your opinion on what's the risk with the Tahltan Nation involvement as mentioned by the other Yellow Lab guy? Thx!
I would say at 100,000 daily swaps, itโs a good volume to pitch viability or start of critical mass adoption. The higher the volume, the easier to get multiple EV manufacturers to build compatible vehicles for battery swap. This would then drive exponential network effects for $NIO swap stations. Hence, we're just starting ๐
Battery swapping tech for EV is starting to gain traction in China, with $NIO handling about 100,000 swaps a day, and recently completed it's 100million-th battery swap. In 2026, CATL plans to open more than 3,000 swap stations across 140 cities in China, while also interested to acquire Nio Powerโs battery-swapping network. NIO is looking to breakeven and grab market share, being the only brand with encouraging Jan numbers, plus upcoming gov incentives to benefit them more.
In $NIO at $4+ for the turnaround, and a potential 2026 multibagger.
For 50 yrs we treated the supremacy of asset-light businesses as a permanent economic law
But if AI commoditizes asset-light businesses, weโd just be reverting to the historical mean where value accrued to atoms, infrastructure, energy
It would be a 50 year blip. An anomaly
