Given who the new devs are, I’m optimistic in hopes that they understand what the Halo fans want more than anything.

Having not read the article I absolutely agree with this.

If you TRULY want to create a game that represents the series legacy, it should be the games ENTIRE Legacy. That means having people from both bungie and 343 alongside new hires to bring fresh ideas to the table.
